I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that because 'register cleaning' is not standard maintenance, it gets charged off to stores. As opposed to a replacement register which does not.

If stores are experiencing difficulty with 'slow' registers, first ensure that there is no obstructions to the ventilation of the register case (grey IBM box under cash draw). Then reboot the register. If the register is still 'slow', log a job with IT to have the register 'rebuilt'. This...

    1. Sales can be viewed from the Department Manager menu (should be able to find it pretty easily coz there is pretty much nothing else in there). Scanning Rate is under Service Manager > Reports > Weekly Review > Operator Performance. 2. Not sure about Bulk Gift Card, but I'd take a guess that...

The procedure states that the employees Back Office number is allocated first, depending on their position in the store, and their WoWPOS number is the same as Back Office. Eg. CSM would require department manager privileges in Back Office/Stock Management so they may be allocated #12. Their...

I never used to do that, but I haven't been an office cashier/SSA/SSO for a few years. Plus, surely there is some kind of backup process from stores to a central datacentre for all the StoreLine data???

Specialists car is deemed 'tool of the trade.' i.e. they need it, in order to do their job. Store Managers car is part of their salary package. i.e. SM takes reduced salary to get a fleet car + fuel card.
