    Please help with this question

Herowise one of your coefficients is not correct. that is some funky integration going on there: Might be easier to use change of base before integrating. Also maybe leave the exponent as x rather than x+1 before integrating. Less likely to make mistakes that way. I'll do an improper integral...

So stuck can someone write the solutions to these two questions

(Q20a) try reading the question and drawing a diagram. You will have to done 20a first to make the comparison. Graph the region 20a and then sent it whizzing around the correct axis. Repeat by graphing the region in 20b and send it whizzing around the correct axis. Choose your weapon: - slices...

    Math, possibility!!!

The order of RRYB is unimportant, meaning that I could pick out YBRR for example. Your working does not account for these rearrangements :)

Can someone please check my solution and see where my mistake is

ah ok. YOU DON'T, THEY ARE ANSWERS TO DIFFERNT PROBLEMS. The first 2 answers is when you find area, considering it is as a postive quantity. Split the integral and use | . | signs. The second 2 answers is when you evaluate the integral (sometimes called 'area' as well erroneously I suppose)...

Discovery creative writing, is this idea too violent?

Generally you won't have much time to go into sidetrack details, so pick maybe one character or one element and explore that. Maybe it could be a conflict-resolution type of story (there is a problem, that gets fixed by the end of the story, or open ended ending) its really up to you. Cliff...

Can someone please check my solution and see where my mistake is

so it seems it is a poorly worded question and the diagram is just wrong/typo in question.
  16. dan964

Can someone please check my solution and see where my mistake is

    Area is a positive value, so split the integral. Using the graph rather than the equation (assuming typo): \begin{align*} \text{Area} &= \left|\displaystyle\int_{1}^{2}(1-\frac{2}{x}\;dx)\right| + \left|\displaystyle\int_{2}^{3}(1-\frac{2}{x}\; dx)\right| \\ &= |[x-2 \ln x]^{2}_{1}| + |[x-2...

    water ionisation

Can agree, captain helium is on point with regards to the theory. Water ionization would be an equilibrium reaction 2H_2O \Leftrightarrow H_3O^{+} + OH^{-} Remember that when we talk about donating a proton, it is equivalent to talking about donating a H^{+} ion. The equation would be H_2O...

    Religious affiliation

No that is not the agreed definition of faith. So it worth checking what 'faith' means. There is not one agreed definition on it e.g. Oxford Anglican theologian W. H. Griffith-Thomas (1861–1924), who states that faith is "not blind, but intelligent" and that it "commences with the conviction...
