Can i achieve an ATAR of 70+ with these subjects.

I can tell you from experience that Advanced English, Modern History and Legal Studies require analytical thinking. You need to be able to write essays from your ass (unless you're a rote learner - usually they're great essayists anyway/ besides the ones who get their tutors to write it for...

    Steps to success in commerce

I'm excited to start. I'm hoping doing practical accounting work will actually help in me in the exams. I'm a tad nervous :P

Is it hard to get 80+ ATAR

I thought I wouldn't get an ATAR in the 80s - just maintain your ranks (be aiming as high as you can) and if you have to, aim to continuously improve your marks. You should be aiming for middle to high band 5s, AT LEAST. Depends on the calibre of your subjects and the quality of your cohort.

Have any of you talked to a stranger of the opposite gender before?

I find it easier talking to guys than to girls.

Downloading notes off Bored of Studies

I downloaded notes off here, I usually took bits and pieces and ended up making my own consolidated notes. You shouldn't be relying on set of notes downloaded off here! Remember to really understand what you're reading and apply it to relevant HSC past papers. Best of luck with your studies.

    Deferring and 2nd yr transfer

Nah I'm pretty sure cert III doesn't count. When they say tertiary, I'm sure it means a bachelors degree, does it not?

    Deferring and 2nd yr transfer

Cert III doesn't count towards anything, unless be accredited for a cert IV or above. Cert IV or above units can count for foundations for a business degree, I'm pretty sure. I could be wrong though. Edit: I'm pretty he has to do a diploma in business or something like that to count towards a...

    Likelihood of textbook updates

All good I backed out, I'm going to wait for them to be listed on UNSW bookshop. I asked her to wait, unless of course she has a buyer, then oh well. HAHAH. I can't download anything, I don't enough net for that. All I can afford to do is browse the net and go on this forum lol

You guys feel like your text book has got alot of irrelevant bs?

I didn't study, even for a day for the business HSC... Still managed a 87 - pretty good considering I couldn't remember the syllabus dot points to save my life.

    Holiday Progress

That's enough, honestly. By reading enough academic essays, you'll get what the texts are about. I didn't study at all. In fact I didn't even come to class. Yet I still managed a 40 and that was an E3. Imagine what kind of mark you'll get by ACTUALLY studying. HAHAHA.

    Procrastination subjects

I would always study for legal studies & modern... Business studies was such a bludge - didn't even study for the HSC (only managed a 87 - but what was I expecting? hahaha), music was a bludge (didn't even count - should have dropped it) - WHAT IS ANGLAIS? lol

How many slices of pizza can you eat in one sitting?

It's conveniently located out west, so we can all get fat from all the food we can buy cheaply in such large portions. I still haven't been to the one at Crossroads Casula, even though I worked at the KFC located across the road from it.

    Post Your 2014 Sem1 Timetable

I think I've gone mad. I've printed out a map and pinpointed where my classes are... I'm planning on finding all my classes on the day I go to collect my student I.D.

How many slices of pizza can you eat in one sitting?

I can eat a whole pizza. But it depends on the size, thickness of crust, amount of meat etc... I can defs easily eat a whole cheese pizza. Lol, but tbh I don't enjoy pizza much...
