    Decarbonating Soda Water Prac Help

Negligible amounts, I would imagine. That probably wouldn't matter. Anyhow, an unopened bottle would have had such a gap too, wouldn't it?

    Decarbonating Soda Water Prac Help

A closed bottle is a closed system. Once you screw the lid back onto an opened bottle of soft drink, it becomes closed again. The system will again reach equilibrium, however, this new equilibrium would contain different concentrations of reactants and products from the old one.

    Decarbonating Soda Water Prac Help

Yes, the equilibrium must be in a closed system. This means no matter (gas, liquid, solid, whatever) can get in or out. A school classroom wouldn't be considered a closed system because there are gaps between doors, windows are open, aircon vents, etc. It has to be closed, very closed. :p

    ASSESSABLE PRACS (The Acidic Environment)

    Decarbonating Soda Water Prac Help

Technically, that's not true. :p If you leave the drink out long enough, the solubility of CO2 falls 1.2 x 10-5 mol/L, which is the solubility at atmospheric pressure and temperature. So there's still some CO2 in solution after all.

    Decarbonating Soda Water Prac Help

Sources of error include: Slight inaccuracy when weighing, as changes in atmospheric pressure can affect sensitive scales It isn't possible to get rid of all the CO2 that's present in the soft drink Liquid may have been lost due to careless handling Water may have been lost to the environment...

    14 units...

I suggest you drop down to maybe 12 units. 14 is too many if you want to perform well in all of them. If you're willing to put more effort into maths, then do so and keep the subject. If you hate it, don't do it.
  8. Dreamerish*~

To drop, or not to drop... That is the question!

If you hate it, drop it. Your UAI isn't going to be based on which subjects you picked, but on how well you did in them. I think you would be much better off with 11 units of subjects that you actually like. Not that scaling should influence your choice of subjects, but General Maths scales...

what do u chic really wants 4 valentine day

Well somebody has a narrow imagination. There was a guy from another forum who made roses out of Hershey's Kisses, a whole lot of things can be done with chocolate, including actually making them, decorating them so they'd have personal meaning, etc. Other ideas include cooking...

    Laboratory indicators origin

What exactly are "laboratory indicators"? In the context of The Acidic Environment, the only indicators are pH indicators. So if by "laboratory indicators" you mean pH indicators, and by "origin" you mean "ingredient", then most indicators are made from plants. For example, litmus is extract...

what do u chic really wants 4 valentine day

I'll say. Hand-made presents are more sentimental, but seeing as Valentine's Day is tomorrow, you'd better go buy her something really expensive, beautiful and unnecessary. Quick!

    shaking carbonated drinks

That rule goes out the window when a class of high-school kids are given big bottles of lemonade.

Prison Break (Australian tv followers - no spoilers)

Omgsh, Wentworth Miller. Is episode 13 the last one of season 1? If not, when's 14 going to be out? I want it now! Oh I'm posting in the wrong thread.

Know anyone, or going it alone?

I know 3 people who are going to be in my faculty. But I don't think they'll be in my class.

    never been 'kissed'

Height isn't much to ask for. The average guy is taller than the average girl. I prefer taller guys too (there's just something wrong with me bending down to kiss), but I do have high standards when it comes to looks ...

Completely happy and content with being alone?

Being single's fun when you're around singles. I have more fun being taken though, especially with Valentine's Day coming up. :p

    Standard Reduction potentials

    Ooh, thanks. :)

    Standard Reduction potentials

First, look at a Standard Reduction Potential Data Sheet. Say you have a Galvanic cell with zinc as the anode and copper as the cathode, and you want to find the EMF (Electromotive force) of the cell. The half equation for the anode is: Zn → Zn2+ + 2e- Zinc is being oxidised. Now if you...
