Business and Commerce unit set help

^ There's another BBC student who's doing both the statistics and algebra bridging courses on this forum. Not sure if you need it, but there are people doing it. I would ring the student centre tomorrow to ask these questions, just in case. Good luck!

    Post your timetable 2010

Hmm...it really depends on your circumstances. Monday, Wednesday, Friday allows you do have Tuesday and Thursday to study/do readings/work, plus the weekend. Would be good if you had exams scheduled in your classes too. Tuesday-Thursday gives you a 4 day weekend (!!!) but if you have stuff...

    Which universities have hotter girls?

Not all the girls at UWS are bogans. I've met people who go to my campus who live in the eastern suburbs and dress in designer labels head to toe. They're probably there though because they couldn't get into uni closer to home. But seriously, every uni has hot girls, every uni has fug girls...

    Post your timetable 2010

^ Oh that sucks! I got the day off, my boss really wants me to get a good timetable as I supervise when he isn't there. I know, it's a very scary feeling but fun if it pays off. My net is pretty quick, but if it wasn't I would do it at uni, their internet isn't too bad.

Business and Commerce unit set help

I'd assume it's not prompting you to do the maths test as you've enrolled in spring semester and not autumn and you'd do it before spring starts. Does it let you enrol if you try enrolling for autumn instead? You can enrol in classes all the way up to March 31, it's just recommended that you...

When are the units and the enrollment due?

Yep census date is March 31, but try and choose your subjects before tutorial registration, otherwise you'll get crap class times. You can change or drop classes until March 31, but if you choose a new one a few weeks into semester, you'll have a bit of work to do to catch up!

Transferring from UWS Arts to USYD Arts

I have seen people from my cohort successfully transfer with credit averages, and one with a pass average. The higher she aims the better though, just so she has an impressive GPA and can apply for credit when she's accepted to USyd. I have done some electives from the Cultural and Social...

BBC Students who have failed Basic Maths Skills Test "Advice"

Can't you just enrol in other core subjects this semester and do Business Stats Or Economic Methods in Spring semester after you reattempt the maths test? I remember someone else posting that response to you before...

Business and Commerce unit set help

There are practice tests for the Basic Maths test online. I assume it's available through vUWS, but I'm not sure as I've never had to attempt one. My advice? Do the bridging courses, through UWS they're free: Bridging programs | University of Western Sydney (UWS) The stats one I would...

What did you just buy NOW thread?

I'm buying this top in the morning: http://a2.www1.birdsnest.com.au/system/images/0014/5934/Ladakh-skirt-and-top-RS.jpg Have been deliberating over it for months, and going to buy it now it's marked down haha.

    K-Mart

Some employers prefer 15 year olds to older people, as you get paid less :P. Be prepared for a long wait. I've registered with major companies wesbites before and never had one interview offer, and I had over 5 years retail experience at the time. It's best to be proactive and update your...

    Arts @ UWS 2010

Hi new arts students :) Good to see new people here! Psychology is still offered as a major, it's in the handbook here: Unit Set There's two unit set structures: an APS accreditted psychology program (both a major AND a submajor adding up to 120 points). You can also do a 80 point major or...

    Spruiking

Try searching for promo companies in Google. Some do different things though (I used to be with two, one did cosmetics/alcohol and the other event hostessing), so check out their websites for details before you apply. They'll call you in for an interview, then if you're successful you give your...

    Pants at work?

Hah, this is what I wore to my old job. Ice pants and collared shirt. Never felt guilty if I wrecked them. Now I'm in fashion retail, so I wear whatever I buy at work :P

    UWS LAW, a few questions

I guess it really depends on how easily you can motivate yourself to go and if you like having breaks between classes to study/chill out or not. I like to squish my timetable into 3 days and have the other free days to do readings/assignments/work. The danger of having a squished timetable...

Need help with the enrolment process!

That's ok! If you want to undertake an accreditted psych program, you need to enrol in both a major and submajor of psychology so you have the full 120 points. This is equivalent to the old 'key program' that existed previously. More reading here...

    Bridging courses

That's OK! Not sure if algebra would be needed, but if it's free, then there's no reason not to do it :P.

    UWS LAW, a few questions

Hah, I wish! UWS would probably pay better than my current job in retail. Oooh, I wouldn't have a clue with that one, I've only ever studied at Penrith in different faculties. Maybe some law students could suggest who's a good lecturer?
