    Loving the BoS?

No offense to you, but I fucking hate this sort of thing. I read the texts at least five times each, and did so many extra essays that I know the woman at the newsagent better than my friends. I've done a crapload of extra research. And then people like you come along and cruise through...

    Loving the BoS?

Also, the few that read/watched them only did so once. And I suspect Schindler's List was related material for most of them (and probably most of the state). I sound mean, but I had to laugh. One of the girls in my class just read from the Excel textbook (the big general one for all the...

    Loving the BoS?

I'm talking uncommitted to the point of not reading the texts. I need a reason to bitch-slap them all anyway. Haha, yeah, last time I saw my teacher I thanked him for picking the interesting ones, they're a lot easier to argue about.

    Loving the BoS?

The people from my school at least did horribly. Now if only half the state were as uncommitted, the rest of us will be fine! *facepalm*

Did you use 1 or 2 related texts for Mdoule C?

I challenge you to a history and memory battle *gloveslap*

    Which poems for Yeats?

*shrugs* My teacher isn't an hsc marker and tends to have strong views on everything (EVERYTHING), so maybe it was just getting over-exaggerated and doesn't make that much of a difference.

    Which poems for Yeats?

It depends how you use them. My class got told just to do our best not to use them together, because pairing them up in questions about textual integrity doesn't work, they were written too far apart. I got a damn good scolding for doing that in my trials. I wrote about the benefits of...

    Which poems for Yeats?

"Black Books", an English tv series.

    Which poems for Yeats?

Which/ how many poems did people use for Yeats? I used The Second Coming and Byzantium, was going to use Sailing to Byzantium but couldn't make it work with the others well enough (also, we keep getting scolded for using STB and B in one essay)

    Loving the BoS?

I was happily ignoring that. You've ruined my day :bomb:

Did you use 1 or 2 related texts for Mdoule C?

I used one. Had two prepared, but one (Good Bye, Lenin!) fit the question really well, the other didn't (and is pretty badly written, screw you Michael Veitch, no one likes you).

    Loving the BoS?

Agreed, such an easy paper, I was shocked. I re-wrote my last BR/BNW essay for module a, changing words around a bit. When I realized how simple they'd made Yeats, I went :jaw: Also, the other people in my English class didn't even realize they had to talk about context. Excellent.

    Anyone else disliked tht test?

I liked it. They gave us really easy topics and didn't pull a different text type for the response on us. I felt like jumping around happily during reading time when I realized. :D

    how many pages per section?

Uh, two were six, one was seven. But I ended up writing half of mine in dot points during the last 5 mins of each

Ummm, does anyone realise English is over for good?

Yes. THANK GOD. Now I just have to hope I get into uni for computer tech, I don't wanna have to do a B of Arts! That means more English...

    Makes sense. Thank you :)

Question for Module A essay for In the Wild

Way to have some patience. I don't use Malouf and Wordsworth, but I've never had any trouble with this before; I've put BR before BNW and not gotten comments on it, so I don't think it quite matters as much as your teacher wants it to.

    Foreign films/ subtitles affecting quotes

The copy of a film I'm using as related text has slightly different subtitles to the version I saw on sbs. I asked my teacher about this, and he said to make note of it somewhere in the essay that some of the wording may have been lost because of translation. My question is, how do I do this...

History & Memory - Related Texts

Everyone thinks of Schindler's List by Steven Spielberg. Some alternatives for film: Shoah - Claud Lanzmann - was going to use it, but I can only get the first dvd. A Very Long Engagement - Jean-Pierre Jeunet Good Bye, Lenin! (one I'm using, very good) - Wolfgang Becker As someone else said...
