    Section I - Multiple Choice

Soooooo true Would be nice to get universal thoughts and clarification on q 15 regarding ratification though. It would put this multiple choice controversy to an end :p

    Section I - Multiple Choice

I think B is the most correct answer. D is very ambiguous. Remember D says "international tribunals". ICC you do not necessarily have to have ratification of its treaties to be punished if you have committed crimes (like Thomas Lubanga or even the difficulty trying to capture Oman al-Bashir) The...

    Section I - Multiple Choice

I agree with the possibility of both answers for q 15 being correct, but probably B being the more correct answer because it was asking for the "practical effect" of ratification. B actually gives a holistic effect, unlike C which I consider to already have been performed as part of...

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Oh, I thought ratification did mean enactment because my notes say it means that Parliament passes a domestic law giving effect to the treaty - therefore making the HR punishable in Australia...hmm BOS have definitely made the multiple choice harder than what we thought based on the specimen...

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Yay - does that also mean for q15 you believe it is B? 18/20 I guess is alright for multiple choice lol. Everyone agree this paper was more difficult than the specimen? I got 97 in my legal trial....doubt I'll reproduce the same mark in this exam :(

    Section I - Multiple Choice

    k these are the definite answers now 1)d 2)b 3)a 4)c 5)a 6)b 7)b 8)c (lol I put d, didn't take into account their ages) 9)a 10)c 11)c 12)a 13)d 14)b (lol I put d, silly mistake) 15) b or c (still in discussion over, read my post above yours and let us know what you think - I think b 16)d 17)a...

Hey what did you put for short answers: ratification of HR and sovereignty?

I too defined it but I thought mainly issues of state sovereignty were more a detriment or hindrance in enforcing rights because you cannot impose a treaty on another country - and it makes it difficult to enforce such treaties and international conventions (mine were to do with child soldiers)...

    Section I - Multiple Choice

Well lets say we've established the answers; the robbery as a property offence, conspiracy to rob AND robbery as well as the COMMITTAL HEARING being the first step in the criminal trial process My final query regarding the multiple choice is question 15 -Australian Government has ratified an...

Albert Speer and Treaty of Versailles questions

Thanks for that. Seeing as you're a Modern History marker, do my arguments for the Treaty of Versailles question as the most significant factor to Weimar to 1929 sound alright? It's the question for Germany as part of the national study
  13. W

Albert Speer and Treaty of Versailles questions

from what I've posted above, do you think my part a and b meet the criteria?

Albert Speer and Treaty of Versailles questions

Agree all round. I hope my ideas stick well though :p
  15. W

Albert Speer and Treaty of Versailles questions

The personality questions for Speer were quite annoying. I found myself writing similar information for both the 10 and 15 markers. What do you guys think? Are part a abd b marked by separate markers? 10 marker - I wrote about Speer becoming architect (after his redecoration of Hitler's...

Albert Speer and Treaty of Versailles questions

Treaty of Versailles I started with the immediate impact of the Treaty of Versailles - Germany's reation/its signage/to what extent it was a harsh treaty/effects of the treaty like November Criminals etc then I went to economic impact - 1923 French occupation of the Ruhr - Stresseman years - and...

    Arab-Israeli Conflict

thought I did alright with the impact of the Yon Kippur War divided it into; immediate effects (consolidated land gains)- cemented the fall of PAN - loss of Arab cooperation/Arab disunity/Egyptian-Israeli Disengagement Agreement differing policies of both Labor and the emerging Likud changing...

    Section I - Multiple Choice

In response to your quote's last statement -"in addition to receiving the penalty laid down for the primary offence." ...primary offence was property

    Section I - Multiple Choice

but then a committal proceeding is before that, isn't it heard in a local court? Why would you even bother thinking of jury empanellment at that stage? Committal proceeding would make more sense because it's in the local court which would see if there is enough evidence for a case to be heard in...
