    How was your school day?

Hmm, today had my maths 2u half-yearly. We only had to be at school for the exam, so that was quite awesome.

    half yearly study timetable

If you're studying for 5 hours a day in year 11, how much do you expect to study in year 12? I am very cautious as to not completely burn out before the hard work begins in year 12, so I keep my studying in perspective of how much I will be studying in year 12.

    ranking question

So, suppose that you were ranked first, and for some reason, completely flunked the final exam (theoretically speaking)...you would still get the highest HSC mark?

    I'm falling behind in Chemistry

No, covalent molecular compounds cannot, with the exception being that acids dissolved in aqueous solutions can conduct electricity. Covalent network compounds do not conduct electricity either in solid or liquid form, with the exception being graphite, one of carbon's allotropic forms. I...

Can someone please help me here?? I need to convert the MIDI sequence files into mp3 files and then burn them onto a CD to hand in to my teacher for my composition. Could someone kindly instruct me how I would go about converting these files? I've tried several programs but once they've been...

    Hsc: All Your Own Work!

Hmm, my school lets us do the course in our own time. I've already finished, btw. Not sure about everyone else, though.

    Ideal marks for Maths...?

In viewpoint of the HSC, your ideal marks naturally should stem from the ability of your class and school, as Kujah has mentioned. You should be aiming for perhaps 90%+ in 2u, and maybe 85%+ in 3u, in response to your question about what would set you up in a good position for the HSC. Since up...

    How was your school day?

Woah, if this was in any reference to my previous post ...allow me to redeem myself. I was referring to the fact that I lost half a mark because of a silly error - i.e. putting something into the calculator wrong, and I did not blatantly say that that was the only question I got wrong.

    Languages

Is there a maximum on how many languages you can do for your HSC? Are there many people here doing languages through dist. ed.? If so, how are you finding it? Enjoying it? What languages are you doing?

    How was your school day?

Apparently the maths department at my school (selective) thought that they would make the extension test fairly difficult, so as to lure people to drop it, as we have too many people doing extension 1.

    How was your school day?

I agree ...lost 1/2 a mark in my extension maths test for putting something into the calculator wrong ...unbelievable
