    Summer clerkships 2009/2010

Or perhaps it is the DLA HR department who is drinking nothing but Carrots and Peyote. I have been quite surprised with the responses of firms so far. I know of some people with great results, part-time legal work, international mooting experience, leadership roles in legal associations etc...

    criminal law clerkship?

It's not a dilemma when you acknowledge that everybody, whether innocent or guilty, requires legal representation. Your role is not to 'get criminals off', but to ensure the criminal justice system is functioning fairly and non-arbitrarily; to ensure that police are charging people only when...

    Best uni for studying Law?

When people refer to 'best uni' for law, or 'best law program' what exactly do you mean? For instance, bell531, you say that "UNSW has arguably a better law course" than USyd. How do you come to that finding? What do you base that conclusion on? What are the criteria?

    Majority/minority judgements

Just to add to Marmalade's comments: Even in a case where all 5 judges agree as to the outcome, you could still have majority and minority judgments. Just because they have all arrived at the same conclusion, does not mean that they all took the same path. The majority will be the the...

    Laws/Journalism Double Degree

Questions are fine, but you really should do some of your own research first.

    Choosing combined degree

I imagine it would depend on the course. I combined Social Science with Law and, with the exception of two compulsory subjects, I was free to choose whatever I wanted.
