Anyone working on the upcoming public holidays?

Yep, as expected he is trying to swindle you. I second workplace ombudsman, isn't there a HR department at head office for Maccas you can complain to as well? Take it higher than him, he'll feel the pressure from above.

HSC at TAFE: what age group are most people?

I would have suggested the TPC myself as I'm also a TPC graduate, however Sydney only accepts it for some courses as you've found.

    1yr (combined Prelim+HSC) at TAFE

I didn't do your one year course, but another one year course called the TPC. I left school at the beginning of year 10. I handled it well, but be prepared to devote yourself to it. TAFE will have facilities such as counselling and tutorials available; be sure to utilize these.

    Bit of a pickle.

Have you logged onto the Arts portal on vUWS as a guest arts student? It'll tell you everything about credit points, key programs, elective majors and what subjects you need to choose to follow your BA program. If memory serves me right, it'll prompt you to do this when you enrol. UWS...

    does anyone not drink

Hmm, after just a drink for me, I definately cannot drive. Everything moves way too quickly. Anyway, for the OP, I drink seldomly. Hung up my drinking boots after ending up in hospital at 17 after too many shots. I'm a lightweight and happy to have 4 double blacks and call it quits.

    Rules for Customers

When I say "Hey how you going" as you're browsing, don't freak out like I'm about to force you to buy stuff...I'm just being friendly...seriously... When I want to put clothing back for you, I REALLY DO! Why? Because you'll put it in the wrong spot which means I'll have to resize the whole rack...

Anyone working on the upcoming public holidays?

That's another thing you need to raise with him, or possibly take further up. You're entitled to your breaks, so you need to take them.

Anyone working on the upcoming public holidays?

I second that, do NOT sit back and let them rip you off. It may have been an oversight, or they may have delibrately withheld pay from you thinking they can get away with it. Speak to your manager, take your wage structure and payslips with you when you do for back up. If they don't backpay you...

    Help with online enrollment !!

You can enrol in both Autumn and Spring sessions (I did the same both last year and this year), as long as any changes to your units are made before the relevent census dates.

    Travelling 1hr+ to uni

I'm an hour and ten minutes drive from my uni, which is one of the closest ones offering the course I do. Because I live in a rural area, I'm used to driving everywhere (takes me 45 mins to get to work for example), so it doesn't take too much out of me. There's no public transport locally...

    Relaxation music?

I used to listen to Delerium at work, they're ambient sounding. They have two albums that I know of: Chimera and Karma.

    the pill

Is anyone on Loette? I don't see it mentioned as much as the others, apparently it's a low dosage.

what type of bank account should I get?

I've just swapped to a Commonwealth Steamline account with Netbank as well - no fees for students =D. My sister just swapped to NAB, pays no fees as she's a student and also got a Visa Debit card.
