    Personalities....

I did Trotsky and basically manipulated the "times" to mean when he grew up and such, as heaps of people are always bleating about how his childhood had no revolutionary indicators - which it did, if you could be bothered to read his autobiography.

    Someone has to ask it....

Jeezz... I can't actually remember how many pages I wrote for each section =s. I know I filled up all the lines for the world war one questions, and I know I wrote about 21 pages for Russia, Trotsky and Cold war.... So 7 pages a response?

Parents reaction to you not making it?

I understand, from reading this that a lot of people are under a lot of pressure to succeed from their parents, and I hope that for all your sakes that they only want these marks because they know you can achieve them, not because they want something to brag about or are of the misconception...

Parents reaction to you not making it?

This is going to make you all scream. My parents don't care about the marks I get, they know my strengths and weaknesses, so they know what to expect with my marks. Plus, both my brother and sister went through the HSC a good 7 and 10 years ago and didn't blitz them or anything, yet they both...

    General Thoughts: Modern History

Whooo! I loved that exam, it was just a case of state the obvious with the Russia question... How did they consolidate their power? Well, let me tell you... Considering how worried I was about the exam I am really happy. Overall, I felt really good in the exam, there were no nasty surprises...

    General Thoughts: English Extension 1

Navigating the global... there was a collective sigh in the room as we all opened our papers considering how much we were stressing about it! I loved the questions, really happy with it all =]

How Bad is the HSC stress for you?

At the moment I'm averaging about 1000000 out of 10 in stress levels. And I'm not too sure why, I mean, I'm not aiming for an ATAR or anything like that... I don't even know if I want to go to uni, but I can't help but feel stressed. To top that off I can't sleep and my hands keep on shaking...

General Thoughts: English Advanced Paper 2 (Modules)

I agree. I got stumped by the whole "human experience" thing, most speeches do use it but very few use it to convey the significance of justice. I ended up using Pearson and Sadat, who kind of had those elements to their speeches. What I really didn't like was the Frankenstein and Bladerunner...

    Taking exam papers out

We weren't told either way... so we all left them on our desks with our writing booklets, I think our teachers will hand them out to the year elevens this afternoon :spin:

When is your last exam, and what are doing right after it?

I finish on the 12th with my drama exam, then after that I plan to hit my computer for my first look at the Sims three! [I haven't touched it all year, kept it as a treat] I'll probably surface from that in time for schoolies =]

    It's all in our hands

Being someone who has been handwriting all my school work and notes for 13 years, I still find that after big sessions of writing my hands get very sore - even after sitting about ten past papers and such. I understand that this stems from a mild form of rsi from my music and such, but...

Studying with noise - is it possible?

I've found myself to be in a little bit of a dilemma. These "holidays" I want to take advantage of all the time I will be spending at home, but I have discovered one hiccup. I have VERY noisy neighbours. They are the people who like to make their cars "doof" loudly, so loudly in fact, I'm the...

    HUGE debate needs settling

It changes from year to year, depending on the different factors that reach the Board. Some years physics is aligned better than others, the same with business. Unfortunately, there is no way to tell how it is going to be done this year. My advice is to simply do your best, that's what I'm...

Finished Major Work? Started Reflection Statement?

Yay! Completely finished =] I haven't slept for the past three days as I have been working my bum off to write this goddamn reflection statement and edit my story and it is now time to relax =] All I need to do it talk to the printer nicely so it will print my 27 page short story...

    The Global

Well, at least I can understand what they're asking me now, but I'm having real issues finding "navigating the global" in texts. What should I look for?

    Area Of Study 2009-2012: 'belonging'

Technically, we're not completely lost. Because belonging and journeys are such ambiguous phrases, we're actually able to substitute the word "journeys" for the word "belonging" in past questions. There still is hope. ;)
