2005 Society and Culture Exam Paper

Mine has writing and lines and circles and ticks everywhere - so it isn't a good one to scan. Although, unless anyone is willing to scan theres - the questions were: Section I (continued) Part B - 12 marks Question 4 (12 marks) (a) With reference to a country you have studied...

    Society and Culture thoughts?

That link works, but I still can't find it by just browsing.

    Society and Culture thoughts?

Equality and Difference - (A) Work and Leisure - (A) Statistical analysis and graphing to extrapolate trends, which can then be used to predict future trends and occurances. Not sure if it is correct though.

Where Is The Exam Discussion Thread??

There is a thread in the General Discussion of the Exams, if you want to go there until one is created. And yeah, I didn't realise that there was no Advice Line for Society until I actually called! lol

    school rankings

Your "school ranking" - whether you go to a public or private school does not mean you get scaled up or down! You get scaled according to how well your cohort does in relation to the rest of the state. Otherwise teachers could send in great assessment marks so their students had an...

    Society and Culture thoughts?

I thought it was pretty good. I do equality and difference and work and leisure and I though both were reasonable. The short answer questions were quite easy - although I'm not too sure how well I went in the last Q (6 marks). I think many people would have struggled with the country...

Where Is The Exam Discussion Thread??

If it's there, I couldn't find it either.. What did you think of the exam?

    morning or afternoon exams??

Same here. I don't mind all that much. It depends on the exam I suppose. If I feel ready and confident - a morning exam would probably be preferred as you then have the rest of the day to relax. However, if you need to do more work, the afternoon exam is handy to get in some last minute...

    Barbie

Geez.. leaving it a little late aren't you!?? Sorry, I do work and leisure and equality and difference. Pop culture seems to be very popular though.

    Continuity And Change/india

Good notes, although you have to be able to do more than apply the fundamental course concepts to your country. Where is the information about: The process of the nation's modernisation? One specific detail of the country which demonstrated both continuity and change, e.g. education, gender...

    How Did Everyone Go ?????

    How Did Everyone Go ?????

Why would she take offence to knowing everything - isn't that a compliment? :p How can you know too much about the syllabus? It is an essential resource that MUST be known, and known in great detail if you wish to have any success in the HSC. As a moderator, and an individual who provides...

eeeeeeey anyone on the 29th nov cruise??!

We will be allocated our cabins on the 29th. I rang P&O the day I got my ticket because I wondered why it said N/A and the lady said that is what always happens for schoolies cruises and cruises where you pay a low price (which is the price we pay for this cruise - much lower than usual).

    PICIS and The Jakarta Declaration

That's right. It is more important to rmember the key word, rather than just the first word. Although, what does the 'E' stand for?

    PICIS and The Jakarta Declaration

    I remembered it as SIPIC.

PDHPE exam was a sick joke

No offense intended, but how can you say that it wasn't a 'fair' exam. What did the BOS do that was 'unfair'? All questions asked were derived directly from the syllabus - a resource that you, as a teacher, should be very familiar with. If you didn't teach the course in a way that ensured your...

    Mulitple choice answers

I agree. Skill X is an a skill that is quickly learnt, but once they get to a certain level, struggle to make further improvements. In my opinion, this corresponds to long jump. Anyone [well, nearly anyone] can do a long jump, and would probably make immediate rapid gains with the help of a...

    2005 Schoolies Cruise!!!

It seems that only those who booked a different date for their cruise, who were then transferred to the 29th Nov cruise will be receiving $100 as a way of remedying any inconvenience. If this is correct, you will not be receiving any money unless they changed the date of your cruise.
