I'm doing the Coleridge poems, so...

A song is fine, so long as you analyse it well and are able to discuss sophisticated links between the two. In terms of whether to know all 4 poems, my techer advised that while is is very unlikley BOS will be mean enough to specify (they haven't in the history of AOS) , there is nothing in...

    What is the technique where...

Yep, yep. As expressed more conherently by Zephyrio.

    What is the technique where...

Actually I think thommy means pathetic fallacy. I.e, when nature, weather or landscapes are given human qualities. E.g the angry wind.

    Scaling process

Obviously, I'm not going to do anything about it. I'm perfectly aware that's the way the system functions, flaws and all. I am actually an English/Humanties student, but not artistically or musically inclined: I was just giving music and art as additional examples of subjects that are...

uai below my hsc average result

The UAI is a rank, not an average of your HSC marks. Your UAI seems perfectly normal. Looks as though you trying to play the scaling game and you lost. Btw, the fact you were ranked 2nd in Chem means nothing, because the mark is modified.

    Scaling process

I agree that I can still achieve a good UAI with Eng/humanities, because i anticipate performing well in them. However, I disagree that all humanties subjects are easier than science subjects. I'm willing to bet a lot of mathematically/scientifically inclined students would stuggle with...

    Scaling process

Thanks for giving a logical response. Obviously, as an English/Humanities student, I'm still going to feel hard-done by, but now I better understand the justification for scaling maths/science more advantageously.

    Scaling process

I agree. Note the names of the top perfomers in most languages with Maria's topping Italian 'beginners' and the like.

    Scaling process

I would not expect anything else from someone who has 'I love Math' as their signature.

    Scaling process

You bet wrong. Observe my profile: HSC 2008. I am not musical or artistic. I just think its unfair that those people are denigrated.

    All Rounders ??

    Hence the term 'ALL-Rounder'

    Honest opinions needed

Yes, lameass. You have only completed 10/200 marks in each course!

    Scaling process

How is the scaling process fair? Why is that subjects like maths and science are valued above others? They are not necessarily more difficult, and shouldn't it be assumed if you are going to choose somehing like Physics or Chem, its because you find these easier than other options? How can...

    The Official Crap UAI Thread

Everybody has their own personal standards, no matter how high or low. If you were aiming for 60 and got it, its a success. If you were aiming for 95 and fall short, its a personal dissapointment.
