Sounds like you're going text by text. Even if you're planning to stick with this essay format, time management is a must. Either learn to be more concise or cull some of the less critical points in order to give more time to your other text.

Think back to Eng Adv. Look at concepts and themes brought up, effectiveness of techniques used etc. :) Is it interesting? Is it a "copycat" of other things out there? What audience is it geared for, does it use an appropriate level of language? What kind of depth does it go into? and so on

and yes, SCMP is open I think turnitin lets you read the assessment you've handed it in before you confirm for the last time - might be a good idea to take a clear look at the screen next time :)

I think rankings can be interesting, but only ultimately limited to results. I'm sure some schools in the top 50 might (and can) bitch endlessly about the sad state of their schools because the government is stupid >.<

I don't think it's illegal (especially if they can tell it's the same handwriting) but probably a good idea to get a standardised signature :) I came up with mine when I was in yr 5 and all the girls on the bus were going nuts about "writing signatures" in "<first initial>.last name format...

a) I believe it's a prescribed Eng AOS (Journeys) text :) So yes - it's definately an HSC text. b) They may not neccessarily be essays (although it'll definately be an essay for Module B I think), but they will be unknown questions. It wouldn't be as fun if they gave you the questions in...

That's right :) You don't need to find texts on the same topic - ones that explore the same theme/concept or could be looked at through the one perspective are fine :) Don't be freaked out if they're not exactly the same either - it's just as easy to say "in contrast" as it is to say...
