Is there a limit on how many case studies we can refer to?

Although, can I give you a suggestion. Technically theres no limit, if you use too many case studies you may find it difficult to make links within the essay/report (especially if there is a 2nd part to the question). I like to stick to 2 case studies (or sometimes 1 if its really...

    mx2 compared to 2u and mx1

My teacher told us that around 70% raw in a trial is worth keeping the subject. Otherwise, your better of doing 2 unit.

    UNSW open day.

Asian stereotype = med and for those who dont get the ATAR, probably science etc

    Trial HSC results?

O ok that explains it. You should ask for it. You have the right to know what you're being marked for (at least in school assessments). No wonder why you get so many complaints lol.

Sick + English Paper 2 Trial

Call them ASAP tomorrow. Make sure you tell them all the details and ask them whats gonna happen. Trials are a bit late at your school arn't they? Anyway. Good luck.
  9. Michaelmoo

Are you allowed to give assessments after the trial?

Yep. Know quite a few schools that do. I've heard of schools that dont give trials at all. As timmy said, they're just another assessment.

    UNSW open day.

Wasn't that great. Lectures were useless if you've done your research.

    How do you avoid mistakes

Well I'm not really someone to look up to for not making stupid mistakes. I do them all the time, but I can give you some tips. As others said, go over your work if you have time. If you have time, i suggest you do some of the questions again (thats right). Roughly do it again without...

    ALWAYS paraphrase the question?

I used to not paraphrase it. But then my comments would come back as "you need to answer the question more... develop a stronger thesis etc etc". Yer. Some teachers don't even see it if you simply answer the question. So now, I try to paraphrase the question, and use some of the key terms in...

    Trial HSC results?

Definately would be deserving. Dno bout u guys but that never hapens at my school. Most of it is marked correct. People that try get marks are scabs. Thats why they make criteria, unless your school doesn't?
  14. Michaelmoo

    Trial HSC results?

Um no? Scabbing is trying to get marks when you don't deserve them and consistently asking for marks even though the teacher's said your wrong. And yer I don't like it. Tbh I find it quite pathetic that people scab marks just to screw someone whos more deserving out of a rank.

    Battle of the study guides

Hate excel. Its too band 4ish. Macquarie is quite good though imo.
  16. Michaelmoo

are the premium resource section notes useful?

Never seen them. But people say they're not that great. What makes them "premium" anyway. Who writes em?
  17. Michaelmoo

I got 81.00, and did nothing all year.

Find that hard to believe. Especially since your in year 11.

How do i improve my ext2 results

+1. Although I think practice/experience is really important. You will go nowhere simply by learning the theory. At the same time, I think you have to have that extra degree of thinking. Its not purely mechainical maths.
  19. Michaelmoo

    Trial HSC results?

Don't get me wrong. Teachers make mistakes but they usually give you the marks the first time you ask. But if you consistently ask for marks, your scabbing. You can't tell me nagging a teacher when they've marked you wrong is good. Especially when it ends up the teacher giving you your marks...
