Who can do this Extended Experimental Investigation

How about you just use some common sense for starters. Do the expeiment and keep on changing the position of the mobile in the container by rotating it. See what happens. It doesn't take a nerd to figure that out. And no need to suck up for answers.

    Significant figures????

Ok. So in summary, everyone is saying answers should be rounded off to: 1 Decimal Place 3 significant figures Infinity significant figures Most number of significant figures in the data Least number of significant figures in the data no. of decimal places that is the same no. of significant...

Using the gradient for a calculation

What about if you are working with something obvious. For example V against I, and one of the data points is 0,0. Then do u pass the line of best fit through 0,0?

Using the gradient for a calculation

No. I did use the gradient, the point in there was just to let you get a feel of the gradient. I actually used your second method. I substituted the gradient into F/L. The only exception though was I didn't write in the word "slope" or "gradient". I just subd it in. Guess I should of made it...

    STAT Exam in May

Yer as people said. It's good to have a second chance. I'm sitting it in 2 weeks two (even though I have assessments etc coming up). I know your thinking youd be better off doing it at the end of the year when theres no school pressure etc. But put it this way. - If you fail now, there...

Using the gradient for a calculation

So I'm not really good at the using the gradient to find a value thing. Thort I did it right in the exam, but ended up getting it wrong.. For example, for a graph of Force (vertical axis) verses length of wire (horizontal axis); where a certain length of wire was placed in a magnetic field at...

    Significant figures????

Ok. In general, I've heard that answers in an exam should be given with the same number of significant figures as the value in the data with the least number of significant figures. Isn't this generally true for the HSC? How picky are they about these details? But what about an example...

When writing the domain and range of a graph, is it necessary to use the correct notation (The ones they use in text books, i.e. with the {} brackets etc). Usually I just write for example D: x>0 x=/4 Is this accepted in the HSC, or should I write it in the accepted format? Thanks in...

    Practical exams

Ok. So with practical exams (that is doing a prac and answerign questions). I know they have a lot of skill based work (such as graphing etc). Things that are usually not explicitly in the syllabus but are just expected. What is the best way to prepare for these things and practical exams in...

Lots of people have told me the real test is harder than this booklet. The questions are based upon earlier UMAT papers 1990s. The UMATs been getting harder and harder each year so yeh. It isn't exactly a reflection of the UMAT we'll sit in JULY I got my book last thursday. I havn't done it...
