    Rewards for topping a subject

haha. before i read the opening post, i thought the thread starter was wondering what rewards we'd personally be getting (ie. family). in which case, my mother has oh so generously informed me she'd be quite happy to get me more books/study guides. :argue: :hammer: in terms of...

    Business Studies

bizarrely, this year's HSC paper, Global barely had a presense and the test content was skewed towards Management and Change and ER (ridic). Business can be interesting, it can also be dry. Financial Planning and Management for example is boring until you start calculating ratios, if you find...

Christine (BOS director who gave the call) told me that for Philosophy, materials arrive early January. I believe that Cosmology begins slightly earlier, hence your package might arrive before before Christmas, but Philosophers get it in January.

HSC in year 11 AND year 12

interesting, and definately something that would work for people suited to the regime. what school is this? Smith's Hill High? i believe they run such programmes or otherwise have a large percentage of the cohort accelerating.

    Should I drop General? (detailed)

Actually, if you are thinking of applying to american universities, then i'm afraid some units of Mathematics (general/2U/whatever) is necessary. I discussed this with my director of cirriculum, and american universities are very much against specialisation (unlike UK and Aus academic systems)...

    Top Achievers in Course List

Re: Top 20 in Course List For those who have asked, the list from SMH are State Ranks, therefore the top 5 or top 20 people/marks in the state (the amount of people depends on size of candidature). this means they've achieved generally 95-100 as a HSC Mark. To get a Band 6 or 90+ you do...

Re: Top 20 in Course List I can't believe i missed Moriah on my (highly incomplete) list actually. They're always brilliant, any school with Alex Borowsky as alumni ..:headbang: They achieved 20 state rankings, which is excellent. :guitar:

    Top Achievers in Course List

Re: Top 20 in Course List i did say this was by no means a complete list at all. i missed out Moriah College (who did great) for example, and i'm sure i've missed lots of other high performing schools as well. it was a combination of: off the top of my head, the schools i knew of, and also...
