Well i never requested a grade review in SIBT nor MQ so im not sure on the process, but if you completed a paper 10% is pretty impossible. I know that grade reviews are contingent on your assessment performance and your attendence, so if you didnt do well in prior assessments or your attendence...
thats kind of odd. im a local student who went through SIBT and got expected results. Are you saying SIBT was biased against local students or are you saying that SIBT mid semester assessments were too easy, giving you a false sense of confidence for the final exam? in SIBT, final exams are all...
acst is quite a barrier for the avg marketing student
i know one who failed it twice and ended up completing it in their last semester along with other 3rd year units
Hi there. My situation was pretty close to yours. I too did the HSC in 2004. I studied and dropped out and started to work full time. I left my job in a bit of a "f this" mindset because i knew i couldnt go higher in my company without some qualifications. So i quit and began studying commerce...
i did PSY350 one semester ago and i was totally caught off guard because i was after quite the opposite. Im a commerce student and chose it as a people/planet
From the start you are divided into groups of 4 or 5 and you get to know them really well. The tut is very interactive - it takes the...
unless you are willing to do ALOT of work in advance you cant do these together!! 100 isnt even a prerequisite to 200! 101 is inbetween. It goes 100 > 101 > 200. Youre going to find it REALLY difficult with a huge workload if you are looking for a satisfactory result in both
lecture clash really doesnt matter. if you are going to attend all your lectures, just pick one and attend another. There is no roll call for lectures (for the most part) so they dont know which one you are attending
lectures are for learning new material. Tutes are about discussion about lecture material (generally). Therefore no tutes first week, because in most cases you havent learnt any material yet (eg you might have your Tutorial time before your first lecture in that week).
back to back classes can...
mostly never for lectures
as for tutes - your tutor should mention this first tutorial. If not, ask.
Ive probably only had to bring the book to class like 10% of units
i did all of them in the same sem as well
accg200 is easy mostly because it uses alot of content from 1b and builds on it (even used the same textbook)
224 is more difficult, introduces alot of new concepts. I didnt attend (although i should have) but apparently the PAL sessions are packed as...
this isnt high school. In most accounting courses you have a 2 hour lecture and 1 hour tutorial per unit. 3 hours per week the uni helps you learn. The rest of the hours is your own independent study. Yes, if you want to do well you will do independent study.
look at http://courses.mq.edu.au/undergraduate/degree/bachelor-of-commerce/major-in-international-business

As for other information from my experience:
Most courses involve group work and as most students are internationals, you will learn from experience that it can be very frustrating working with the internationals. As a student searching for 85+ in each course alot of the time it meant that you...
Im pretty sure if you got 50 in the HSC in 2u maths thats the requirement to get into SIBT commerce. I got 57 in 2u maths so if u beat me than its not a problem (yea i really didnt care about the hsc lol)
