I think they should seriously improve the course for Engineering (it's too late for us but for future students) because I hate how unpredictable it is most of the time. The syllabus is terrible, and the way that some textbooks go into more depth than others is shocking.
Anyway, all we can do is...
Yeah, there's so much variety. My texts are Frankenstein, Waiting for Godot and Heaney's poetry (although I don't want to write about WFG). How about you?
Worlds of upheaval. There could be some kind of question about worlds forcing us to consider deeper aspects of our personality or something, but it's all speculation. For literary worlds, maybe they could get us to do a 25 mark creative based on a huge stimulus.
I hate true lengths, although it's entirely possible. They might include shear force and bending moment diagrams this year, and they could have random questions on obscure historical developments.
Personally, I loved Eliot's poetry, but I'm so glad I never have to touch Hag-Seed again. 1984 has some important concepts on totalitarian control, but it's rather depressing and the writing style was bleak in my opinion.
If you didn't enjoy English Extension 1, you're making a good call to drop it. That's super impressive you're coming first in pretty much everything except 3U English! I'd say drop Business Studies and get the extra study periods because if you use the opportunity to work super hard on Chemistry...
Wow, the fact you're 6th is amazing! I'm also amazed that your cohort has 40 people doing it because there's only a handful in my class. But yes, I'm beginning to have those regrets as well. I think it's so unfair that Engineering doesn't scale too well because it has the same degree of problem...
I guess referring to the rubric would show them you understand what needs to be included in your response, although sticking to the terms of the question would be the most important thing to do.
I personally like the Sharpie gel pens (usually 0.7mm). They're great for gliding on the page so you can write quickly. Uni-ball micro deluxe are also pretty good.
