Didn't think this warranted a new thread, so I'm hijacking this one.
I don't have my marks for my year 11 half-yearly report, but I have my ranks for that semester. Will they care? I've emailed administration, but I'm yet to get a reply.
This man speaks the truth.
From what I've gathered, engineering/commerce is quite a worthwhile double and its popularity is testament to that. What were the reasons against eng/comm did your careers advisor proposed?
I didn't know which subforum this belonged to, so I just dumped it here (mods, feel free to move it to whichever you feel appropriate).
Anyway, I was wondering if there was any benefit to doing this double degree? I've been considering it recently but I can't think of a concrete reason to...
I'm just curious - would this be enough for a UNSW interview?
S1 - 61
S2 - 56
S3 - 57
Overall - 58
%ile - 80th
My ATAR is looking to be anywhere between 98.8 - 99.4, apparently.
Also, I saw that ohexploitable said something about a weighted total score? How would you calculate that...
Thanks folks, it's comforting to hear that I have a fair shot at achieving my goal.
I added my trial marks for anyone else who wants to give an estimate.
Last one for me, I promise.
School rank (2010) - 4
Rank | Trial Mark
Eng. Adv - 59/195 | 89/105
EE1 - 29/83 [I was really surprised, I swear I could have been bottom 20.] | 39/50
MX1 - 44/165 [Earned +1 mark in the trial (marking error), so this MIGHT go up a bit but it should stay the same.]...
I don't think he's trolling or w/e. Just making a 'safe' estimate, I guess?
But yeah, Shadowdude, if that's the figure you're comfortable with estimating it's cool. Thanks! :)
Everyone else seems to be able to give an estimate without them, I don't see why you would need them.
Plus, trial difficulty/marking criteria varies wildly from school to school, and even more so when compared to HSC exams so I don't understand why they'd be of any help.
But if others think it...
If you guys could give an estimate that would be great.
Eng. Adv - top60 or top70 (not sure)/195
EE1 - [no clue, but it's not going to be pretty]/90
MX1 - 44/165
MX2 - 52/99
Chemistry - 34/116
Physics - 29/108
I can post trial marks if you really think that would help in estimating, but I'd...
Well yeah, question 8 was easier than question 7 (which was a bit difficult for some parts).
There were parts from other questions which were just absolutely nuckfuts. I'm guessing the average will be like, I dunno, low 70s%.
Such a sneaky paper.
