Looking up on the Usyd website, this course has its own page for future undergraduates. The ATAR cut-off is also higher than regular Bachelor of Science.
Can't most people enroll into Master of Nutrition after they've finished their Bachelor of Science?
By the sounds of it, it doesn't sound...
Then make it a restricted forum. Like 50 posts before you can view and contribute in it.
Kind of like how the Non-School sub-forum can only be viewed by registered members.
In the General Board, BoS has sub-forums for cars, politics and real estate.
It strikes me strange that there are no sub-forums for different religions and spirituality. I guess maybe there's no demand or something happened in the past that caused the removal of such a sub-forum.
Re: A First Year's Guide to University
Not sure if I already asked this, but how do they spread the hours over the week?
It'd suck to have 4 hours of lectures/lab every weekday. Much prefer having a 6-8 hour day, leaving another day of the week with absolutely nothing.
Re: A First Year's Guide to University
Haha, sorry if I'm coming of a little lost, but what handbook exactly?
Judging from your posts, you do/did B. Science? How did they split the hours? I would actually prefer having like 8 hour blocks over 3 days over 5 hour blocks over 5 days - the former...
Re: A First Year's Guide to University
Thanks for the response.
Still not sure what I'm majoring in, but is there any chance the contact hours would exceed 30 per week?
As for rote-learning, I never really did that for the HSC. A lot of stuff for physics and chemistry I already knew (was very...
Re: A First Year's Guide to University
Great read! Got a few questions for any university-goers:
What would the estimated contact hours for B. Science at University of Sydney be?
I never really payed attention in science class and never did any homework, mostly learning everything by...
HSC School Ranking:
2012: 15th
2011: 8th
My Results So Far:
Extension 1 Mathematics: HSC Mark of 49/50 (Did accelerated 3-unit and I'm guessing this doubles to make 97-98/100 since I'm doing 4-unit
Extension 2 Mathematics: 23/60
English Advanced: 20/169
Chemistry: 15/109
Physics: 5/80

Unlucky. People are willing to buy textbooks at my selective school. I mean I sold a year 9/10 mathematics book to a year 7 for $5.
Yeah, discussing my accelerated HSC marks and my current ranks really helped me sell some books. It helps to be doing well in studies when you're selling textbooks.
Went to school today for sign out sheet and saw my friends and classmates selling their textbooks.
Never bought any textbooks during high school (don't believe in them), but my friend was too lazy to sell his, so I bought four of them for $20. By lunch I had sold all of them (was tough since...
Yeah, I usually can't study for more than an hour. When I get restless, I usually get up and do something else for a while.
Also, I remember reading that sleep is used to sort out our memories. A nap after studying could potentially help your brain soak all the information in.
BMX.
Getting back into it since HSC's finally over and my wrist is recovering decently.
discovered BMX by chance when I was going for a bike ride around bicentennial park. ended up at the monster x bmx track. was able to get like 10cm of air from the rollers. i was doing the tiniest bunnyhops...
What do you guys learn in agriculture? I'm really curious. My school didn't offer it. Would've actually considered doing it if they did and it seemed fun.
Hopefully get back on my BMX and ride some dirt jumps. Pick up surfing if I get enough money to afford a board. Continue working on my site and maybe start up a few side projects.
Take control of my life and make my own path.
Cliche as it, post-HSC is the turning point in your life. You start...
I'm not saying I believe the video; I just wanted to know if there was any ounce of truth in it.
Would you mind giving me an explanation on how the system actually works?
Not all of us know much about economics and you shouldn't treat them like idiots...
This wasn't meant to be a discussion on what to invest in...
Are we paying taxes to the government for debt that doesn't even exist? Are banks really multiplying money out of whim through fractional reserve banking?
I looked at the sample answers from Board of Studies and was wondering what the convention for writing ions and radicals is.
Is H+ and OH- fine? Or should they be H+ (aq) and OH- (aq)?
For chlorine radicals, should you put a dot next to Cl to represent an electron?
IE. Cl - (g)
