hahaha, lost it!
does reputation actually do anything?
considering that there aren't a million forum members, you remember who are good posters and who are trolls
To the 2014ers, you may have students from this year whom had the misfortune of pathways. Don't shun them. Don't think badly of them.
Some students are not academically gifted or go through a rough year when they do year 12. The one thing I feel bad about in my last year of school was not...
Degrees are next to useless in terms of employment if they're not specifically for the career you want to pursue. A dentist, a doctor, a lawyer all have to get degrees to before they can practise.
If you don't need a degree for your career, then don't waste your time. Andrewh13 makes a fair...

i doubt you'll 'stuff your externals'.
you did amazing in all your subjects throughout the year. the HSC tests what you have learn throughout the entire year. get it? your ranks (especially your trial ones) are a decent indicator in how you'll perform for externals.
Now, I disagree with that. This is going into opinion territory (oh noes!), but intent and use of craft determine the value of literature.
Why does Shakespeare hold more 'literary value' than a child's movie?
It mainly boils down to the fact that the producer's created the movie for a niche...
"Honesty plays an integral part in an individual's sense of belonging or not belonging."
Discuss the extent to which the statement is true with detailed reference to your prescribed text and ONE related text of your choosing.
I'm a 2013er, but good luck to all you guys doing the English Extension courses.
I worked my ass off in year 10 to get into Ex 1 English. Then I got lazy for the first half of year 11, forcing me to work my ass off to scrape a spot for Ex 2 English in year 12. Old habits die hard! In year 12, I...
When an education system adopts standardized testings, suddenly there is only one answer for each question. Fixing the "only some opinions are correct" problem will require a radical overhaul of our education system.

This is a pretty interesting video...
Some of the texts they give us for Belonging are pretty stupid, imo. Though, I really like that we are taught about belonging, as it really does apply everywhere in life.
Maybe you don't really get anything out of analyzing or quoting blocks of text. But by the end of HSC English I feel that...
Ok, I lied.
It takes more than a single week to learn a syllabus. It takes well more than a week to do the past 10 years of practice papers. It takes more than a week to create, consolidate and compile 12 units worth of notes.
But you only have 1 week!
I'm not trying to stress you guys out...
I hope not. I'm pretty happy with my first related (used it for first assessment and trials), but I'm really lazy with my second one.
Have they ever specifically asked in the previous years to include to related texts?
Do you think they'll do it this year?
Jokes on you!
Just pretend you finish on General Maths. Then you've finished your HSC earlier than 80% of the state
I used to joke with my mates that those who did biology where "the disgusting scum of the earth"
looks like the Board of Studies actually believe in that :L
TBH you only need one week preparation for each HSC exam if you did a bit of work throughout the years [unless you want 99+ ATAR].
That feel when your exams have a weeks break between them.
haha that's like the troll first asssessment we had for chem. whole test was out of 15 split in three sections of 5 markers. if you didn't have a particular word or phrase in the 5 markers you'd get zero.
the average for the year was 4/15 haha
everyone was so pissed
IDK, that's how we've always been marked at our school.
Like I'd write out a decent 7-marker, but because I wrote something incorrect (despite hitting all the criteria) I lose a mark.
But anyway, that's not the point. It's about excessive imo to be asking yourself if you have the 'fastest pen'...
For the subjects that I do:
Science: You lose marks if you say something wrong. So the more you write, the more likely you'll lose marks.
English: If you go for the essence of the text and pick the best examples, you'll end up writing 1000 words. Better to hone your essay skills and write a...
What the.........
A pen will not get you high grades.
Is it really worth the bother spending so much time on what pen to write with...and getting maybe 10-20 more words on your essay
I hope this is troll thread...
