I know in the HSC you're not marked down for providing incorrect information as such but Global Exchange Rates can both strengthen and weaken the business cycle depending on where a country's GDP predominantly comes from (i.e. for China a weaker RMB is beneficial for them as they do a lot of...
Am looking at potential timetables for myself and have been looking at the lecturers:
My options for Phys are:
Wolfe + Hamilton
Dr EJ Angstmann,Dr DM Culcer
I'm inclined to pick Wolfe + Hamilton just because it marginally fits my timetable better. Can someone comment on these...
Ah ok that does make sense.
May have to just take the one commerce subject in the second half of the year (I'm fine with that).
On a side note, are there any courses I should be looking at taking in certain semesters? A mate of mine who started last year said he's only taking engg1000 first...
Sorry that didn't come out clearly.
I meant that it's not like the ME will make you a worse candidate.
100% agree with you.
IMO if you're a good enough candidate it's well worth considering

Hi,
Got a guaranteed spot into Eng/Comm so am slightly looking ahead as to how I will structure my first year. The recommended program structure says to only do Engineering subjects for the first year and then only commerce for the second year.
Some people who are already at university...
I chatted with a bunch of the EE staff members on Open Day and what I could gather is they're really trying to push the degree - even labelling it as their "flagship". The faculty seemed to speak very highly of it but then again of course they are going to.
I am yet to know of someone...
A better way to think about bonus points is they don't raise your selection rank per se but lower the selection rank of the course you're applying for (as not all courses take bonus points esp. ones with a 99.95 entrance requirement)
What course out of interest?
You can work as a civil engineer or a software engineer (obvs)
But I guess you could go into modelling buildings via software etc.
TBH though despite not being directly connected I'm sure many of the STEM foundations (problem solving, numerical literacy etc.) are easily transferable.
Must've been some issues with Bojangles cause I remember ENGG1000 was working when I first tried - but now bojangles seems to realise it's not right.
Thought it was weird cause of the legendary 1st year Engo workload.
Oh well :S
"Discovery has the power to transform individual lives." How is this idea represented in your prescribed text and at least ONE other text of your choosing.
Can't seem to recreate it cause any timetables with ENGG1000 don't generate.
There may have been a mistake in the data before - even when I try 3 subjects I can't get the tightness I had.
IIRC it was Higher Phys 1A, Maths 1A, Engg1000 and something else (Can't remember)
