ASB takes time to respond so don't freak out. I didnt get my employment contract from them till like 3 weeks later :P
And people who miss out my 1 WAM don't feel too bad. I missed out by like 0.1 HAHA (friend had a higher wam by 0.1 and got Dean's List)
I would say wait till the first lecture to see if you need it. The lecturer should explain what are the required texts. I have no idea what the management update is so I can't make a recommendation.
There is currently no law exchange to the University of Tokyo. There is exchange for other degrees e.g. probably for Commerce. The reason is that we haven't agreed on an exchange partnership with the Law School over there yet.
There is barely a difference in weight now. If you are simply using a laptop for work and want to save money then get the 13" Air. If money isn't an issue then just get the 13" Pro. It's only about $200 difference and the Pro provides you with more. I believe the 13" Pro has 9 hours battery...

They have increased the number of staff though (compared to my first year) so shouldnt be too long
Most people do Com/Law, Arts/Law or Intl Studies/Law
Unless you are really interested in Criminology, I wouldn't recommend this combination. Most of the people I know who did it ended up dropping it.
(Note: there is a difference between criminology and criminal law)
I dont know about the workload cause I don't do those courses but you definitely have more contact hours which means it can be more difficult to fit in extra curricular and work.
From memory there are about 350-375 first year students. 250 coming straight from Year 12 and 100 internal transfers. I think there are are about 15-25 external transfers. However the numbers apparently drop to about 200-250 by final year. People eventually realise law is not for them so they...
