I've been interested in a cadetship but haven't really known what path to follow to obtain one. I'm particularly looking at one in the media but does anyone know how you would go about looking for one?
haha yeah thought maybs some school somewhere went to that extra effort lol. i'm not sure why we didn't do it in the end - could've maybe revived our steadily declining formal.

I've always supported the humanities as a closer measure of intelligence. This thread will just get people doing the alternate subjects attempting to justify why their subject measures intelligence more accurately.

I'll clarify about the prefect thing.
The points system at UNSW - not sure about other unis - is that only school captains get the points. I was a school leader and sporting house captain and that doesn't count.

It was weird at my school all the naturally talented people challenging for dux were working so hard as well. I know a friend of mine had back spasms and had to go to doctor from sitting down so long. She had to be like forced to leave the house, I think she must of been doing upwards of 14...
We went there last sunday. It was actually a really good venue but the alcohol policy is so stupid. You'll see when you get there.
I much prefered the after party - Moved through bars and pubs on the harbour - Caught a cab to the cross - Caught a cab back to star city and stayed till about 5am.
