    Timetable (MedRadPhys)

As far as I know, there's no restrictions (except for pre-requisites, and you're only looking at first year). I'd personally use electives to do something different, if you're likely to enjoy something from another faculty. You can always just choose extras from within your own faculty to...

    Lectures straight after one another

This is actually potentially a coincidence, since I know many course coordinators have a really difficult time trying to get subjects with a timetable they think will suit. For example, last semester, three subjects were scheduled for the same time which had probably at least 5 people...

    Enrolment

There's absolutely no need to decide on a major- I think it will ask you to enter one, but that doesn't matter. You don't need to actually declare your major until second year, and you could probably change it again after that anyway. I'd advise for people who don't know their majors yet (or...

    When is O-week

UoW O-week is 23-25 Feb. At Wollongong it's pretty much some stalls for clubs and societies, a fair bit of Unibar entertainment, and a good chance to just sort of wander around the uni, if you haven't done so already/you're nearby. More details at: Oweek @ Unicentre

Some of it, other stuff you'll have to ask/work it out for yourself/read/ask on here.

    Timetable (MedRadPhys)

Read the other 'BMS101' thread. We're not sure, but it looks like it's been replaced. You'll probably find out soon enough.

    Career Advice (2nd Year)

I didn't say they did. I just mean the OP needs to think about what they would like to do. You're also not being very constructive. I'm unsure why you're posting in Arts and Humanities if you think Arts is crap or useless. AshVonB's advice about doing something else for a while is...

    Lectures straight after one another

Back-to-back 1hr lectures are no problem, and as iKatie says, there will be a lot of people going from one to the other. The only times I haven't liked putting subjects one after another has been two 2hr tutorials starting at 9:30 on a Monday morning. Not that you'll have to worry about that...

    Bms101

Not entirely sure. It may actually exist later, it's still a while out from classes beginning. It looks like you can't do both EDPS101 and BMS101/112, so it could be either a replacement subject or one intended for a different group of people. I'd say you'd find out though, since BMS101/112...

    Timetables...

Well, in first semester you have to do BMS101, MATH187, PHYS141 and an elective, which means you'll have to check the timetable for each subject. Except law (I think) I'm pretty sure they don't do course-wide timetables cause most degrees allow electives. This is from : Bachelor of Medical...

    On Campus Accomodation

Campus East is a walk to one beach and a short bus ride to a few more. But even Kooloobong is a short and free bus ride to the beach.

    Career Advice (2nd Year)

Sociology was one of my majors.. and you are correct, it's pretty much government jobs, generalist stuff like writing and reviewing policy (although not just social, you could be in any government deparment). Other than that, it's pretty much teaching/academia. If you're not really hugely...

    5 Bedroom Apartment

I live with friends (there's 6 of us in our house, good thing it's a big one)! Living with friends can be both good and bad; but my general advice with living with more than a couple of people is: -agree on levels of cleanliness people want and sort out a compromise -have some sort of set...

    Early Entry Re-assessed

It takes me 4 hours to drive from Wollongong to Bathurst if I do it with no stops. I rarely do though :P

    Bachelor of Arts

Agreeing with most of the above, and also to clarify, I'd correct 'absolutely no job prospects'. Besides specialised studies, there is teaching, academia, and one of the larger ones that people seem to forget, public service at state or federal level. And I'll repeat that many people doing...

    B Engineering @ UoW

I'm not in Engineering, but checking out the handbook Bachelor of Engineering (Mining Engineering) - 2010 Course Handbook @ UOW leads me to believe that it may be difficult changing in later years, just because of the number of specialised subjects. I doubt they'd stop you if you really wanted...

    Generic University Questions

1/2 : depends on your university/degree, but for example, I did two majors and a minor. 3 : depends on university/degree, but it's usually spread across a semester, so you'll do for example 24 units of credit in a semester which would be 3-4 subjects. 4: it's really personal preference. I...

    Uow 2010

Make sure you go to your orientation/enrolment day in person if you can at all- it's a good start. This will be even easier for the Dean's Scholar people. As for subjects, AbsoluteZero will of course know more than what I will- but your classes are all the same, you don't need any...
