    Maths Practice Papers New Syllabus!

Yeah it would be a shame if they did, I have some really nasty questions planned lol. With some of the new additions to the 3u syllabus, there is a lot more creativity available

    Maths Practice Papers New Syllabus!

I've decided to actually start eith the 4u one, I've thought of some really good questions that incorporate some aspects of the new syllabus, but I will try writing up a couple of 3u questions on induction and vectors. Just making sure though, is harder 3u still a component of 4u in the new...

    Maths Practice Papers New Syllabus!

I'm also planning on writing a few practice papers for the new syllabus. Did you guys want an entire hsc practice paper with all topics for x1? Or just one for year 11 content? I will probably work on the x1 task before the x2 one since its shorter to write, but will hopefully be able to produce...

Has anyone done/is doing mathematical sciences degree at ANU?

Ok nice, thats good to hear. Only other consideration is I have a scholarship to ANU so its gonna be difficult to decide based on that, but thanks for the advice. Really hope I get that state rank lol, could be room for negotiation of scholarships with sydney.

Has anyone done/is doing mathematical sciences degree at ANU?

I'm actually hoping to go overseas for PHD, provided I can get the marks, but can't go there for undergrad since I have no olympiad qualifications or anything so they won't care and also I can't afford it. Also if you've done maths at sydney, how much time do they spend on going over x2 content...

Has anyone done/is doing mathematical sciences degree at ANU?

Hm was he doing maths though? Seems a lot of his arguments against are about job prospects, which is fair considering canberra's size compared to sydney. Still, posts like this are worrying.

Has anyone done/is doing mathematical sciences degree at ANU?

I am planning on doing this degree next year, doubled with science, and was just wondering about a few things: Is it a lot better than maths degrees offered by other unis? I have heard that the maths degree at ANU skips over a lot of of extension 2 recap that is done at other unis such as USyd...

    Physics Predictions/Thoughts

For the response on the standard model of matter, is the amount of stuff on particle accelerators really essential? As we really quickly went over that in class lol. Would you say its ok to instead talk about the technology in cathode rays to find the electron initially, as well as the...

    Physics Predictions/Thoughts

I would honestly love to study abroad, but at the good unis they usually don't bat an eye at you unless you are a maths olympiad or something, and have the insane amount of money to pay from what I've heard. Personally if I go into research I would 100% try and get into a really good uni abroad...

    Physics Predictions/Thoughts

ANU is apparently top ranked for science and maths. Maths is especially good there - at other unis like sydney I've heard a in the first year maths course they do a lot of revising of x2 content, whereas at ANU their advanced stream starts straight off with linear algebra, and has a huge focus...

    Physics Predictions/Thoughts

What uni are you planning on going to next year? I'm planning on doing a maths degree at ANU, paired with science possibly if I do well in the hsc science courses.

    Physics Predictions/Thoughts

For wavelength its Ek=hf-work function for photoelectrons emitted, so you can get frequency from the wavelength using c=f*lambda.

    Physics Predictions/Thoughts

We know that increasing the intensity has no effect on the maximum kinetic energy of the emitted electrons, so A and C are instantly out. If you use the wavelength to find frequency of the light with c=f lambda, you will find that the frequency is 6.66×10^14 Hz. Since this is below the threshold...

    Physics Exam 2019 Questions Thread

I meant neutron star not supernova hahahha. I swear my number one dumb mistake is getting distracted and writing the wrong word down in physics.

    Physics Predictions/Thoughts

Yeah, rip any chance of me getting b6 if they expect stuff like this lol.

Yeah I'm not mentions pylons or anything like that, just the basic idea like you said with power loss in wires.

    Physics Exam 2019 Questions Thread

Ok I will keep it in mind, I edited my original comment to include a bit on it, the answer feels super bad though.

Lol we never learned this, sorry, I just assumed it was a name for the usual temperature classifications.

    Physics Exam 2019 Questions Thread

This question seems a bit difficult to answer, but I will give it my best shot (Im assuming Morgan-Keenan refers to stellar spectral classes divided by temperature?) I would assume that you say: -The Morgan Keenan system is extremely effective at separating stars into spectral classes based off...

    Physics Exam 2019 Questions Thread

Its just extremely badly worded, I believe you get the correct answer if you just say the angle is 45 degrees and it occurs at the 5th order maximum, since that way the two maxima 5 away from the center subtend an angle of 90. The diagram honestly makes the question more difficult with the weird...
