Tell me guys n girls... What is civil engineering like anywayz? Is it hard...????

I did pretty shit compared to my usual standard.... I only got 68% and came 5th I think... but it doesn't matter, it got scaled to 76% and I got 3rd overall for the semester so I was pretty happy... ;)

yep, I'm the only girl out of 7 in our class. ditto... I can't believe how boring cars and shit the guys talk about can get!!! but I guess I did more work coz I wasn't interested in all the shit they talk about!!! :)

yeah well, as people have said b4 if u look at the standards package some band 6 answers do have +'s. I guess I just use + by habit. I will probably end up writing 'and' anywayz, I'm just saying people arguing over this is silly

ditto.... yeah I really dont understand the thing with context if someone would be kind enough as to explain it??? I understand themes and the transformation, but I really cannot understand what the deal is with context!!!???!!! help!

I personally think there's nothing wrong with using +'s. It's only a filler and I use it in all subjects and no teacher has ever told me not to use it. Even my english teacher who has marked HSC stuff before.... Plus isn't the essays etc more about content and the way you express your ideas and...

Yep, totally agree... Success is good, definately worth getting, Helped me heaps in trials. And definately for year 12 make sure you get all the prac results and if the prac doesn't work bug your teacher for possible results!

Does anyone know where I can get the Shipwrecks and Salvage Prac results from? Coz they aren't on the HSC online site, and our pracs never worked when we did them... So if anyone has the pracs and results it would be really helpful! Thanx

nope sorry, I got all my report out of books and text books... so the internet was no help at all.. and its the same story for this assessment I have to do on mobile phones, if I wanted to buy one the internet would be great, but finding any info is a real bugger...

well, i liked it from the start, and the more you learn the more interesting it gets... so I'm hoping to go onto uni with it.. :) how big is your class? We fully have 6 people. ans Im the only girl... oh well...

yep, it was pretty boring, but it wasn't an assessable which is good, we now have to do one on mobile phones which should be interesting, coz all the sites on the net are just advertising mobiles etc... so I will have to find some books or something.. :)

If u can use another song, Drive by Incubus is a really good one for changing self.. Pleasantville is a great easy movie to use. The book we are doing is My Place by Sally Morgan. If that helps.. if not sorry... :chainsaw:

I was wondering if anyone else has done an engineering report on cast versus forged crane hooks, and if so do you have an info that might be useful in materials that would be best for the job??:confused:
