    Failing chem- HELP!

I found that chemistry is one of that subjects that will (hopefully) just 'click' for you one day. Things fall into place and you suddenly understand. This may happen for you soon, but you need to be calm and approach it with a clear head. A few pointers: - all chemical equations/calculations...

Should I learn the 'Chemistry of Art' option on my own?

I did chem of art last year, and it was tricky at times. The textbook most people use (chemistry contexts 2) is good but limited in some aspects. You really need a good teacher to teach you it. Doing an elective different to your class is hard. There could be hiccups along the way. So I would...

His Ext Major Work - 2013

Don't do too many, just 2-4 main ones, preferably who have different viewpoints. You can support these 'main historians' with glancing reference to others if you want, but don't go overboard or else it will get very cluttered. 2500 words is a very short essay when you have basically 8 months...

Do year 11 ranks usually correlate?

I agree with this. Generally your top 5-10 will stay stable, as they're the ones who are motivated and work hard anyway. There are some that shoot from rank like 50-100 (150 kids at my school) up to about 30, because they're secretly a genius. As a general rule, hard work in the earlier years...

How many hours are you studying?

I've just been doing extension history project mainly. I've put in a lot of hours for it, but it'll pay off later. Finished my first full draft today except for the conclusion, and I feel it's chugging along nicely. Have neglected chem and physics though, which is a bit worrying.

    Long Responses in Physics

Thanks for that, that is basically what I have been doing. My answers definitely do flow, debating and such actually helps to get a logical thought progression going. Oh hi! Oh really? All the time our teachers spend telling us to do these bullshit circle this and put a box around that methods...

    Long Responses in Physics

Hi, For those who have done the physics HSC, or go to the 'elite' schools such as Ruse or Girra or Sydney Boys, I was wondering what is the general consensus for the best way to go about answering long response questions. I have heard a lot of hypothetical talk about it, but I want to know...
