i had to comment on this thread just to lol @ the 12.89. but in relation to the thread topic, today i wrote about 1000 words in 45 minutes. but that's because i had the essay already memorised, in an unsighted question i probably wouldn't write as much. :)

extension english is so shit... i'm dropping it. yes, 5 weeks before year 11 ends i hate it just that much.

we don't have speeches or anything at our school, you just have to do canteen duty to be eligible to be nominated (and you can nominate yourself) then you type up a few paragraphs or so of why you should be prefect. then that gets put together in a booklet with all the other potential prefects...

weeks 8 & 9. but we also have plenty of assesments beforehand, i still have three to go. :(

definitely do it if you're interested in how society functions, social issues and whatnot. i personally love the subject and am actually really looking forward to doing the PIP.

i'm having the same dilemma, but i think i may just drop it because apparently the content in year 12 is even more boring than year 11...

i wasn't aware of any major syllabus changes (apart from the new AoS)... i know the legal studies syllabus is changing a bit, but that won't be in effect until 2011.

if you're failing, drop it. it won't affect your atar at all if you're doing well in your other subjects. it WILL affect your atar if you just have 10 units and end up failing it in the HSC.

legal! way more interesting. i hate business. but really it depends on on your tastes. i loved the legal topic in year 10 commerce, hence why i picked legal studies in the first place.

okay well, i'm not particularly thrilled with either subject, for my half yearlies my marks were relatively similar, although ancient a little higher (9th for ancient and 12th for business studies). i'm definitely dropping one next year but having a little difficulty deciding which one i abhor...

not that much harder. just different. i procrastinate and bludge more this year than i did last year. that is an inspiring metaphor.

English (Advanced): 8/72 English Extension 1: 9/22 Ancient History: 9/46 Business Studies: 12/59 Legal Studies: 13/46 Modern History: 12/56 Society & Culture: 1/35 pretty disappointed with business, legal and modern. probably dropping business anyway. but not bad for minimal effort, i suppose.

if so, that means only one person doesn't do maths lolllll
