    How do we pronounce ATAR?

i was pronouncing it ay-tar all day, and felt like a massive douche in the process. ah-tar sounds a little better. aw, i kind of feel sorry for you guys. your year is the first with the new area of study, and now this ATAR bullshit.

NSW to dump UAI! New Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)

seriously. lololol tbh i think it's more of a mental thing, 100 just sounds so much better than 99.95. if you've mentally prepared yourself to achieve 100, it's gonna fuck with you a little. i can't say it's not messing with my head a little, i have been saying UAI for far too long now.

NSW to dump UAI! New Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR)

this is so weird. at the end of year 12, i never envisioned myself saying "HAY GUISE GUESS WHAT I GOT FOR MY ATAR!!! OMG WAT DID U GET FOR UR ATAR???" just sounds very strange. the james ruse kids will be so upset over this.

Are there English Advanced students who do not enjoy English?

it's true. honestly, the extension 1 course is far superior (and easier) than the advanced course. i think the extension 1 course should be the general course for all english students.

    small class sizes

I highly doubt that's true... what she might have meant is because there's far less competitiveness in small classes as opposed to large (simply due to lesser numbers) is that there will be less of an impact on your internal mark in regards to rankings, so it won't really matter whether you're 1...

Lack of motivation, complacency, etc in year 11.

I think I've mentioned this before, but in all honesty, I cannot work up any motivation to study REALLY hard to achieve the marks I want and will need for me to get the UAI I want in year 12 (97.10). I can't stop thinking, it's only year 11, at the end of term 3, how you've done won't even...
