    Atheism - Discussion thread

All humans are primarily forces of evil, but even a satanist is capable of doing "right". Its not just about doing right however (nor is it about not doing wrong), its about doing right, for the right reasons.

    Atheism - Discussion thread

Ah k... Firstly its not done as a means of sucking up or w/e to God, look at me lol, I'm doing everything you said, now reward me! That is a wrong reason for doing good. Its done out of love and faith, that the rules He set out for us are ultimately for our own good and that of others...

    Atheism - Discussion thread

You are motivated to do what you see as "right" by your own morals, your beliefs (which do not have to be religiously based and recognise a God). At the end of the day, you are still doing what is right, but what is right in your mind, becase you have decided for yourself that it is right...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Yeah totally, and all hate in our soceity stem from people like me, funny that, despite the evidence to the contrary in your post. I know you don't believe in God, but you probably support others when they say they believe in things like the UN Declaration of Humans rights, which doesn't...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Lol make up your mind. Every time you have sex, you are choosing to do so. Simply by consenting to have homoseuxal sex (or heterosexual sex for that matter) you are choosing to engage in the activity. Thus every time Mr X consents to having sex with another male, he is choosing to be...

    Homosexuality in Australia

I hope you're not under the impression that I actually support or are at least indifferent to Gay people getting murdered. Plenty of Christians are murdered for their beliefs as well, and people of other "groups" in society, the Indian students for example. Its horrible that things like this...

    Atheism - Discussion thread

Without accpetance of God, the notion of morality becomes subjective and open to interpretation, it collapses upon itself. Doesn't mean that non-religious people can't do good, but they don't do good for the right reasons. But as you say, these are my beliefs, and I am not trying to press...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Not at all, thats just one case (which I personally find most deplorable). There are like countless others, obviously - as I am sure you can find countless cases regarding descrimination against gay people, being unfairly denied jobs or w/e and even physical violence cases being assualted etc.

    Homosexuality in Australia

Now, I can understand if you think this guy was wrong in the first place by demonstrating with the sign (but bear in mind he was being entirely peaceful). It is a persons right to peaceful protest, whether you agree with the opinion being expressed or not. Tell me this doesn't make you sick...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Alas if you lived for something, you might be able to empathise with where we're comming from. Marriage means so much less to you.

    Homosexuality in Australia

Only to you and the other unbelievers it would seem. Haha I never said that. And I would not justify a misdeed against someone else becuase it was done to me. I maintain that denying gay people marriage and adoption "rights" is not examples of discrimination. In my previous point I just...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Lol, so because they want it, its a right?

    Homosexuality in Australia

Ofc not becuase they are not rights.

    Homosexuality in Australia

Waaa waaa discrimination!! :( The fact that the word used to describe anything that doesn't mindlessly subvert to the homosexual agenda is "homophobia" implies that there are no legitimate reasons against the promotion of homosexuality in society. Whats wrong is that people can write all...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Nooo, I'm saying its my right to condemn what is wrong as sin, despite the opinions of others. I can hold whatever intolerences I wish (as can you), but that doesn't mean we must descriminate. I see homosexuality as a sin and a perversion but that doesn't mean I abandon my friend because he...

    Homosexuality in Australia

People have a right to their own beliefs (that homosexuality for example is actually not ok). Furthermore people have a right not to tolerate behaviours that they percieve as immoral. That doesn't mean people should be prevented from doing said behaviour because a section of society sees it...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Rofl. Your assumptions are so stupid I'm going to infer that they are actually sarcastic. Sex is a gift, for use between a man and a women within the context of marriage, to renew their love and to make babies :) It is possible for people to express love without sex. Denying...

    Homosexuality in Australia

Lol, God is the victim... Its not just about you. Sin is transgressing Gods moral law or rebellion against God, leads you further away from Him.
