    Atheism - Discussion thread

Rofl Lennox is walking all over Dawkins dude... Do you have faith in your wife? And that to even believe in science discoveries etc. you need to have faith that the universe is actually logically and rationally explainable. Haha this is hilarious.

Lol are you actually serious? Tisk tisk. Haha watching it now, its pretty cool, but Dawkins explainations are sooo lacking. EDIT: Good grief Dawkins has some nerve lol.

    Atheism - Discussion thread

So you're putting your faith science lol, in corruptable humanity over and above that of the Creator? You can't say you don't believe in God becuase you don't have faith. You do have faith, just in science rather than God. You rely on faith as much as I do, its just in a different area...

    Homosexuality in Australia

No, it's not dumb. What are you trying to refute? So far you haven't provided a reason why my post is dumb. And here's a credible case; the law is unconstitutional. There is no reason (other than Christian beliefs) why same sex couples should have less rights than a male/female couple...

    Homosexuality in Australia

As far as I am aware, no it doesn't. The Bible sys "one must not bear false witness", this is usually interpreted to forbid the carrying out of any dishonest conduct. Lying, concealing the truth, white-lies etc. Insider trading is a dishonest fraud.

    Fat Tax

Yea but some families might still be struggling under debt or other costs, like paying for children's education or medical bills for a sick family member who underwent surgery or w/e.

    Homosexuality in Australia

I don't recall reading it but w/e it is, the answer is probably going to be "no".

    Atheism - Discussion thread

Nah ofc you are :) Even one who has read all of the scriptures couldn't possibly hope to memorise all of it, and continally apply its teachings in every action/decision they make. I'd say I have read sufficient to understand its message though.

    Homosexuality in Australia

No I appreciate why gays want to get married, but these goals (celebrating commitment and love etc.) can be acheived and even expressed openly without marriage itself.

    Homosexuality in Australia

Lol, but bear in mind, this is more of a general compaint directed towards athiest in general, like I'm not crying about how they are irrepairably laying waste to the Churches traditions, and like if they insist in getting married, I'm not going to stop them, just it seems so pointless if you're...

That would be a matter of opinion. Lol, what a smart, reaonsable person you are. I've read like 95% of the Bible, though, I'm not going to pretend I have like read every single word or phrase when I know I havn't

    Atheism - Discussion thread

Well to me, evidence would imply that it is proved objectively. Not shown that it is more likely, or beyond reasonable doubt, but conclusively. That I imagine, is the standard of proof athiests would claim they would require if they were to start believing in God.

    Homosexuality in Australia

Could go RSL or book out a conference hall, lol there's plenty of alternative areas to hold such a funtion. Lol, then what point is the ceremony itself, if you're just using it as a means of celebration (like good on you for celebrating and all) but marriage is a ceremony which does hold...

    And Now it starts Censorship

Lolwut? If a person is really is intent on killing a whole bunch of people, I don't see how a document saying its not allowd is going to stop them or convince them otherwise.

    Atheism - Discussion thread

Rofl your misplaced faith in the blunt instrument that is science to disprove something which it cannot by its very nature, is as irrational as you claim my faith in said something's existence is in the first place.

    Homosexuality in Australia

Why get married in a Church then, the house of God, as it were, if you don't require His endoresement of your commitment to your partner? Marriage, to the state is no more than signing a form with you partner. Why is though, that so many people insist in going through with the (deeply...
