    Uws eco > law/eco

I was told that you could transfer in as a non-school leaver as long as you've done a minimum of 2 subjects and are getting at around 90. They look at a variety of things you may have, as well as STAT, but the cap for STAT is at 87 or so, so won't get you in. They will look at your highest...

    Email from UAC.

Yeah, I didn't get one so it must not be a student-wide thing, hence special. :p

    Good/best car between 40 - 60k

True, true. :p However, look at this comparison: Aurion engine: IS250 engine: The moral of the story? Lexus has become swallowed with the luxury vehicle 'law' which states that you should never touch the engine and must send it to the dealership whenever the onboard computer tells you...

will i make the cut off for B Commerce?

The 94.55 ATAR cutoff was in the 2010 UAC guide was it not? :p You've pretty much made it in, don't worry about it. Although, you'd definitely make it into UNSW. Although it has a higher ATAR cutoff of 95.65, they actually have a bonus points scheme unlike USYD. So, yeah I think it's safe to...

    Good/best car between 40 - 60k

Yeah, seremify sums it up well. :p You can't go wrong with either the C class or 3 Series, or the IS250, however these are at the upper reaches of your budget. That's the way to go if you're focusing on prestige and luxury. Then again, you can get a bit more kick from lower priced competitors...

    Speed Cameras

Oh yeah, I recall seeing a fluro blue F6, with an antenna stick coming out of the boot, which caught my attention. And it had the standard yellow licence plates, which lead me to the assumption that it was a police car, and hey it was. :p I mean if someone's going to buy such an awesome car...

    Fat Tax

Hell yes, I would so buy a treadmill right now if they didn't cost like $2,000. BTW, how much cheaper is university gym membership anyway? Fitness First was like $900 a year. >.<

    Input on my General Plot

Not a criticism about you personally, but my teacher always told me never to write about love or anything romantic considering the markers will take on the stance that "Pfft, what would a student know about love and whatnot." Also, I don't forget you need to link it somehow to the Advanced...

    Indian Man attacked

Exactly! As if thugs are going "Show us your passport. Australian? Okay keep going. Indian?" *bash bash* These attacks happen merely out of being at the wrong place in the wrong time. It just so happens than on average, a higher amount of Indian students are engaging in activities which occur...

    Indian Man attacked

Doesn't this just prove it was a targeted personal attack, if they were going to wait around and prepare themselves for it? The hysterics of the media have just exacerbated the problem. When you start baselessly calling a whole country racist and accuse them of purposefully carrying out these...

Why it is an offence to do U-Turns on freeways

I knew this sounded familiar. http://www.smh.com.au/national/freeway-uturn-causes-chaos-on-f3-20100109-lzi5.html So, 19 year old female P-plate driver attempts a U-turn on the F3. Again. Oh, and it's not that you couldn't see the truck, the U-turn bay is only meant for emergency vehicles.

    Is it possible...

Anything is possible! Just believe in yourself and you can do anything. / cliche. But in all seriousness, yeah, it's do-able, but more difficult perhaps.

    I need to read something.

But it's all down to personal preference. :p I'm sure there are people who loved War and Peace, albeit a small minority. HAHA. I mean I understand where you're coming from, reading Stoker's 'Dracula' and Shelly's 'Frankenstein' almost killed me. Don't read those. Oh, I know, something...

    Laptops at university

Hm, aren't there lecture rooms that aren't laptop friendly? Like I was at the Carslaw Building (USYD) and they had pretty small errr.. writing.. beam.. table plank thing, in the lecture theatre. :p Not to mention the seats were equivalent to park benches. I don't think laptops over a certain...

    I need to read something.

I wouldn't see why any books would be out of anyone's 'league'. They're written in English aren't they?

Should u really do your major work based on what you're doing in Adv/Ext 1?

Yeah, it's one of the requirements to have your work related to/influenced by the Advanced/Ext 1 course. But seeing English is abstract, you can just twist the topics to your advantage. i.e you could say that what the politicians engage in is a "crime", although not widely seen as such -...
