i never remember my maths formulas...they come or i derive it on the spot n yea i agree on the point that practice is important for maths n for eco i read over twice n i remember my notes as for english i dont think tutor helps much n u cant really tutor for english nyway

i'm doin 13 next yr for yr12 but i think i can cope with it i guess it will depend on the student n whether he/she is 'gifted' in a subject

i got a fairyfloss n packet of cards from the commerce dept in unsw

standard is capped ... no one gets into the 90's but i think 1 person in the entire history of the course got 90 but i hav to mention they scale in the same way (negative...damn!)

hahaha........cambridge is the best prelim textbook! our teachers issued us the jones n couchman(is that how u spell the name???) but i never touch it if u can tackle cambridge, u can do every other textbook n i believe the james ruse ppl use the cambridge too

i think it is only an assumed knowledge for economics and before u start the course u could always do one of those bridging courses and economics doesnt require too depth knowledge in maths i personally think tutoring is good coz every maths course is quite heavy n u wont cover it adequately...

n i think there is a thread somewhere on the site that ppl post the answers from the helpline

depends if u had done commerce in yr 10.....alot of stuff in eco is really common sense n stuff u hav learnt in commerce

you'll get a better teacher next or else ill b by ur side in yet another "petitioning a teacher away" thing our grade is famous for as for the creative arts......i noe itz hard work even though i dont do it.....my friend stayed up so late last nite for her composition .....poor her

they had free fairy floss for unsw too last year except u hav to play commerce games to get them.......
