    Keyboards

Typically the bottleneck or constraint is whether the device I'm typing on can keep up with me... but then maybe I've just mastered the art of writing a lot. EDIT: I would note that when I'm trying to write something very careful and deliberate (e.g. a Board report), I end up doing better...

    Keyboards

Have you tried forcing your fingers to use the correct ones? That being said looking at the way I type now, I overuse my 4th fingers rather than 5th for the outskirt letters - I usually save my 5th fingers for modifier keys (ctrl/shift/etc). I even sometimes overuse my third finger to cover both...

    Keyboards

I think for me the thing which helped the most was those split ergonomic keyboards which force you to use the correct hand to type. In fact, this is the exact keyboard I used for nearly a decade (Cirque Wave with the trackpad) before I replaced it with a Logitech one which was much smaller and...

    Partner interview tips?

Wonder how it went for you. My guess is it was the stock standard behavioural stuff and to see if they like you - but you should be able to tell before you go into the interview what stage you're upto in the process (i.e. have you already done all the team-activities to prove you can work in a...

    Keyboards

I find it interesting when people get these huge variations when changing keyboards in their WPM whereas I think I'm largely consistent as long as I'm not on a crap netbook sized keybord (Dell Mini 9 anyone - but even that I was still able to get to around 90-100wpm). I really should try and...

    Keyboards

Old thread but I wonder how you are finding your mechanical keyboard a few months later. I keep looking at these but think I can't figure out when I'd use it- the office would complain because it's noisy (i don't like the quiet ones anyway) and at home I don't do much typing... but what can I...

Test and compare your internet speed

University internet is always epic. I still remember in my time people used to torrent during class...

    Surface 3

Check out my thread previously on this: http://community.boredofstudies.org/123/technology/336945/microsoft-surface-3-not-pro.html I used to have a Surface 3 4gb/128gb and the Type Cover/Pen. It was great. I did make some typos on the keyboard because of the nature of the keys being close...

I presume so but she does it quite consistently I wonder if she sounds like that normally!

    Fresh off the Boat

The family is meant to be Taiwanese but for all intents and purposes, I think the "Asian parents" or "Tiger Mom" applies universally across the various Chinese-ethnicity stereotypes (eg my Malaysian-Chinese parents).

    Fresh off the Boat

There are a few cringe moments ... not sure why but my fiancé finds the two younger brothers cute/adorable but I don't. :S

    Fitbit

Alot of people I speak to have said their Fitbits have died just from normal use.. maybe they're just not built to last. But my company is giving out gift vouchers (upto $1k) depending on where we rank in the top 10 walkers in the company!... now that's incentive.

    Acct major - electives

Corporate governance is pretty easy too. At least in my time the key thing was ASIC has good corporate governance principles and then you need to compare and contrast what one company does against these principles. It's not too challenging but is a good test of your ability to present...

    Fresh off the Boat

It's not bad. I only got into the show when I was watching it on Singapore Airlines the other day. That and Mr Robot.

So what are you guys playing at the moment?

PC: CSGO and Simcity 2013 (finally getting into it now) PS4: Battlefront on occasion. Two new games I've barely touched are NFS and Fallout 4; both on my todo list once I have time Xbox One: GTA V mainly. Haven't opened FF Type 0 yet either. 3DS: Finally started playing Pokemon Y again as I...

    Counterstrike Global Offensive Thread

LOL. I'm glad to be quite different to this but I'm not a very good CSGO player.

    Acct major - electives

IMO you might want to do the subjects which might be required for a post grad qualification later on. You may think you don't want to pursue a career in accounting but given you've already done the majority of the requirements (and are doing an accounting major), do you really want to close that...

    Fresh off the Boat

Anyone here watch it? Apart from the Korean guy playing a Chinese guy, I do find it quite entertaining and lighthearted - especially because I can relate to it. My fiancé's remark was it's like an Asian modern family.

    Fitbit

It's optional - could choose whether you wanted a device or not, and it's also optional to sign up to share data with the company. That being said I think some of the bosses were encouraged to wear. As for the heartrate function- it seems to be useful in making this more than just an...

    Fitbit

My fitbit flex broke as it could no longer hold battery charge (at all) but I swapped for a replacement unit reasonably quickly. Beats me how it breaks given it really only does like... one thing.
