Best Business School for night classes?

UNSW is pretty good from a flexibility perspective as they usually offer night classes for most core subjects to cater for trainees/cadets. That being said I've heard UTS has improved a lot and they have similar systems to UNSW whereby when you enrol each semester you get to choose your...

    atar cutoff commerce

There is absolutely no point stressing or thinking about it now- the anxiety is painful but if you can't control or change anything, I wouldn't stress too much. Besides, even if you did miss out on first round, you wouldn't be that far down the chain. Only thing I'd be doing in your position is...

CA Program - Ask questions, get answers! (new and improved)

i think a lot depends on your own study habits/etc- and we have become conditioned to expect more self-study than the average punter i suppose. that being said there's still a high fail rate.

    UNSW Commerce

Agreed with everything you say here- and the key thing is that the market has become a bit tighter post GFC (and maybe GFC2/3?) so the competition is up, number of jobs on offer is down. If you aren't genuinely interested in it and have the credentials or personality to back it up, you may...

I think you misunderstand the CA program- it's a further qualification or form of study after you have finished your bachelor/undergraduate degree at uni. To be eligible to start the CA program (i.e. to enrol) you must have completed certain degrees from certain unis and studied certain...

Will part-time job experience help get a job after completing a commerce/eco degree??

Re: Will part-time job experience help get a job after completing a commerce/eco degr I think it needs to be emphasised again that different firms/companies in different industry sectors (or sub sectors) will have different criteria and ways of recruiting. Newbie speaks from his experience*...

    Results are out?

IMO is it really worth getting excited/anxious/etc over marks which aren't definitely final? Maybe they are, maybe they aren't. But there's absolutely nothing to gain by either getting excited or disappointed by results released early in error.

    B Taxation

If CA is what you're set on doing, it depends whether or not you really want to go to UNSW or whether you'd accept going to another uni. IMO I'd just do UNSW and do the transfer later on.

Will part-time job experience help get a job after completing a commerce/eco degree??

Re: Will part-time job experience help get a job after completing a commerce/eco degr Not a bad move at all. My earlier posts were really trying to highlight you need to show what you gained out of a particular role/job and how it improves your suitability for the role being applied for. In...

Will part-time job experience help get a job after completing a commerce/eco degree??

Re: Will part-time job experience help get a job after completing a commerce/eco degr Why not? It's not so much the setting which matters but rather what experiences can be drawn out from them. I've had some pretty impressive bartenders come through interviews with great examples of how they...

    CADETSHIPS 2012 Discussion Thread

I'd never say one is more important than the other but rather, the value from either EC or work exp is being able to demonstrate some skills you have learnt or behaviours you exhibit which are relevant to the position you are applying for.

    CADETSHIPS 2012 Discussion Thread

For what it's worth, work experience (both relevant and non-relevant) are less of a deciding factor for cadetship recruitment. People understand you guys are still in high school and may not have had the opportunity or chance to work yet.
