    iPhone 5

Whilst a lot of people hate the closed system and the lack of customisation, as I've gotten older and had a lot less time to muck around with things, I do appreciate having it work quite easily out of the box with my iPhone 4, 4S and iPad. The non-fragmented system worked well for my needs and...

On the iPad it'd be Siri and Facebook posting from Siri. And Maps obviously. But what I really look forward to is iCloud Safari tabs because whilst I have chrome on both my iPad and iPhone, I still find I prefer the simplicity of Safari which just works whereas Chrome feels a bit tricky to use...

    ios6

On my iPad3 64gb+3G it works great. I get lots of new features (e.g. Siri) and the 3D maps look pretty awesome in the select areas where it works (e.g. it shows my office and my apartment quite nicely). However the loss of public transport data, the Street view, the Youtube app, etc... is a bit...

b.applied finance or b. applied finance/b.comm(proff accounting) at UMACQ

agreed with above. don't do it unless you have some interest in it- or if you don't think you can do well in finance.

    Lawyer Salaries - Help me

I'd say that's true for the 90% of law grads who don't actually get into a clerkship/graduate role in a law firm (with a proper graduate program). But if you're really in the upper range (read: HD WAMs) then I wouldn't be too worried.

What is the difference between B Economics and B Commerce

Great. Not sure how much that applies to the university degrees though in terms of what subjects are actually studied.

Difference between Future value and Present Value

Can't tell if 1to1 Tutor is just a really advanced bot or if they a genuine tutor based on the responses. Interesting that he uses £ rather than $.

What major would be best in commerce if your dream is to become a CEO one day?

Agreed with the above. There's a world of difference between ASX200 and ASX20 remuneration at executive/KMP level. Just pick out the remuneration report and look at the fixed rem components of the CEO and you'll see a stark contrast. An ASX200 CEO doesn't earn much more than a senior manager in...

Started in auditing - resources/services but transferred to auditing - financial services - banking and capital markets.

    CADETSHIPS 2012 Discussion Thread

Depends which firm, timing, if they have resourcing needs, etc... sometimes HR can be flexible but it really depends. Sounds like it's outside your control though and hopefully the firm will be understanding?

CA Program - Ask questions, get answers! (new and improved)

You need to have some bigger picture end-goal though. Whether it be wanting stability, balance, materialistic, etc... you need to have something which drives you. Through that, you'll find motivation to pursue something and embark upon the journey. I know this doesn't help much but try to think...

Is it possible to do a quadriple major in B.comm/B.science at USYD???

Seriously though, why do you want to do so many things especially at UG level?

CA Program - Ask questions, get answers! (new and improved)

LOL that is a very vague question to ask- it really varies by module and can change. Only thing I can say is that tax probably has the best and most comprehensive CLP of the lot given that it covers everything you need to know and you don't need to reference any other books/material (except...

    Does IPT scale well

Doesn't scale well but if you do really well at it (e.g. state ranking) then it won't pull you down.

    Do you rate this R35?

Even a Porsche 911 would be cheaper to own/maintain... which is what's leading me to think maybe I'd rather just buy a C63 or something when the time is right.

    UBS Cadetship

I still remain sceptical about this whole front office cadetship as to what the role will actually entail if you do end up in their front office.

    UBS Cadetship

UNSW Finance coop would open up a lot more opportunities particularly if you're set on a role in the upper echelons of finance.

    Straight commerce degree or commerce/law?

Based on what you've said, I'd say avoid law because you're not really into it or actually need it for a particular job. If your main concern is employability then just do what you want to actually study and focus on making yourself employable e.g. extra curriculars, work experience, etc.

    CSSA Business Studies

The examiners look for a difference between owner's equity and external equity when asked what is equity finance? :S I guess I can see the difference but equity is equity!

What major would be best in commerce if your dream is to become a CEO one day?

As others mentioned it's not the degree which will drive you but rather what you learn and do along the way. A lot of it will come down to people skills- when you're leading a company you need to be able to have various skills which aren't taught in uni e.g. motivation, coming up with a vision...
