    PWC - Traineeship for 2014

You should email the campus recruitment guys to confirm your test results were received/processed. I think they recommend timeframes, etc but nothing is set in stone (other than the deadline for applications!).

    2012 School Formal !!!

My only advice on this is it's not so much the brand or fabric but how well fitted it is which can make or break a suit. Having it tailored to suit you perfectly will definitely make you stand out more than having a big brand suit which looks like it has a generic fit.

Pm'd but I agree with your rationale.

What is doing accounting like at University?

To be honest I don't think it would significantly change your prospects. For most business jobs, a straight Commerce job with relevant majors will get you there.

What is doing accounting like at University?

I don't think that's what people usually mean when they say practical stuff. Practical stuff is really more along the lines of reading a standard (e.g. AASB 119) and understanding the limitations in the practical application of the requirements (e.g. what discount rate should you use since some...

    Help me decide?

You have to keep in mind most people don't quit unless they have something lined up... you sure you want to quit? Given it's been what, less than half a year, I'd say you are still only just getting into the swing of things. That being said if it's a cultural issue that is stopping you from...

    ACCT1501 - Exam

It's ok, I have a steady job doing something which I enjoy which earns enough to pay the bills. A forum post isn't going to really change much in my life :)

    Help me decide?

What is it about your job that you don't like though? Would you change areas of focus or would you build upon your existing experience? How much experience do you have in your current role as well (which from memory is also a cadetship)? I have seen a few people over the years move cadetships...

What is doing accounting like at University?

I think everyone above has said pretty much my sentiments. I actually found 1A really challenging at the time and couldn't piece it together, and was worried that my cadetship might be the wrong path for me... but lo and behold, once I started working in practice, I got the swing of things quite...

    ACCT1501 - Exam

When did I say I failed all of my accounting and finance courses? I just didn't do very well in 1st year accounting as I didn't quite 'grasp' it as well as others did but then it came a lot more naturally later on as I worked in the field.

    Business degrees.

It still makes a difference. Some employers will have preference, and some will also take into account that based on historical experience they have a higher proportion of people coming from certain universities. It's very difficult to prove any kind of linkage but it does make a difference...

    UNSW Economics Competition Tomorrow

Oh I forgot to reply to this... the point I was making was that not every country shares the same definition as ABS.

    PWC - Traineeship for 2014

Don't think so. There's telephone interviews for a while depending on what time/date preferences you have I think and this goes on for a while, then there are actual interviews, and then there are offers.

Official BOS Study Meat v2.0 (Winter Edition)

You realise we could just edit out the irrelevant stuff right? (which is what we normally do in the event of someone contributing to a discussion but then putting something irrelevant, flame or troll inside the same post) Anyway do you guys usually get there on time? And how late do people...

    PWC - Traineeship for 2014

Re: PWC - Traineeship for 2013 I think telephone interviews start pretty soon in like... less than two weeks? ps. I am moving this thread to the Commerce board as it's more relevant there.
