Review of the Aegis Apricorn Padlock 1TB 256-bit encrypted hard drive

Only difference is admin can change the 10 different regular-user access codes- e.g. if you share the drive with someone you only need to change or remove their code rather than everyone elses' code. No other differences in terms of accessing various folders/sections of the hard drive-...

Review of the Aegis Apricorn Padlock 1TB 256-bit encrypted hard drive

Turns out my firm also uses the same model hard drive but the 500gb one. It's listed as costing around $180 which is roughly the same as what I saw in the US. No doubt it's pricey but then you do get a lot of peace of mind. Wait until you lose a USB with sensitive stuff on it and feel your...

What is your favourite clothing store?

Pretty much that. It's good quality stuff and it isn't as common/popular as other brands. And after visiting the US it's even cheaper. I used to buy AX tshirts for $80 each in Sydney... only to find that in the NY they are $25-$35 a piece. That all being said, Uniklo is ridiculously cheap...

What is your favourite clothing store?

AX. Affordable(ish) quality clothing :) After the US I am now a fan of Uniklo too. Also affordable quality clothing.

    Remake of Star Wars?

I think there are a million other movies which would be in more need of updating/remaking. Star Wars is just one of those things which isn't going to end well.

    ACCT1501

Thankfully not. But you need to know how to do journals and how the whole cycle works before you can look at the more complex and judgemental areas such as how to interpret the more complex standards and apply it to a particular situation. e.g. I wrote an accounting paper on the appropriateness...

If they were items you bought to later sell (i.e. inventory) then wouldn't it be Cr to Inventory (to reduce it by the $5,120) and Dr Credit Note Asset (or Cash and Cash Equivalents)?

    ACCT1501

Seriously though I wouldn't base your views on professional accounting on ACCT1501. To be honest, if you do make it through ACCT1501, you're probably on par with the basics which a Tafe graduate or book keeper would have. Professional accounting encompasses much much more than the basics of...

    CADETSHIPS 2012 Discussion Thread

What type of engineering? Back in my time there was a cadetship for project management/construction or something like that but I don't know much about it. Try Googling "Abi group cadetship" as that's where my friend worked. As for economics... hard to say. UBS cadetship realistically will be a...

    p-pe-per-PERDISCO :(

Not too sure what exactly you've done or your question but keep in mind the payable arises as you incur the expense even if you don't pay it. e.g. at the period end, before you have received an invoice, you could accrue for the expense by Dr Electricity Expense, Cr Expense Payable.

Anyone know the difference between outsourcing and contracting?

For me the key difference would be outsourcing typically involves sending a non core area or process of a business (such as HR, accounting, etc) to a third party. In modern times this typically means overseas where labour costs are lower (e.g. China) but purely from a definitional perspective...

    Past HSC Question

Keeping in mind that listing on a public exchange typically means exposure to millions more potential investors/shareholders, it enables you to raise much larger amounts of cash. Furthermore, it may even be cheaper to do this for a large amount of cash because investors are more willing to buy...

    Factoring

In short, it's the sale of receivables to a third party. In simple English, it's the sale of the right to money owed to you (essentially someone has given you an IOU) to someone else. Typically that someone else (a factoring company) gives you cash now but they buy it from you for less than the...

    Computer Speakers...

I have an old set of Altec Lansing 4.1 speakers which came with my Dell PC many years ago and they still sound great with sufficient bass and balance. That being said I also have a Bose Companion 2 which I bought the in US and was pretty decent for speakers without a sub and a very small footprint.

    p-pe-per-PERDISCO :(

If it makes you feel any better I spent a long time on it back in the day and because ours was in a paper book, if you made a mistake early on, it carried through. That being said I also did horribly poorly and received one of the lowest marks in our tutorial class (and my tutor felt sorry for...

Since noone else seems to have offered an answer (as opposed to a way of getting an answer), here goes: Dr Wages Payable $7,429 Dr Wages Expense $5,409 Cr Cash $12,838 The above entry is on the assumption that the wages incurred in the previous month of May were already recognised (as an...

Do you need references for fast food jobs?

That being said, it doesn't hurt to include character references or even teachers/etc. Unlikely they'd ever get called but it doesn't hurt. I've been called for character references before for retail jobs.
