What are your unorthodox eating habits?

I take photos of food. Eat the bits I don't like first eg veggies. And eat the bits I like best last. Only exception is steak and chips where I try to eat evenly so I don't just have meat at the end.

    Co-op Scholarship eligibility

I'd say relevant work experience and improved job prospects are difficult to quantify into a forum post analysis :)

    Co-op Scholarship eligibility

Pretty much this but that's calculated with reference to time until you graduate if accepted.

    Best Casual Job?

And you are your own boss :) Preparation time gets more efficient with economies of scale too. And it's cash in hand.

    Best Casual Job?

That's a decision/risk he takes himself- if his customers feel that way then they will go elsewhere. Although that being said, $35/hour is not what I'd consider that expensive for tutoring.

Tax File Number (Secondary Schools Scheme)

Might be best to check with your careers advisor to make sure he/she isn't sitting on it. For me I think it didn't take that long (only a couple of weeks) but I did this like... 6 years ago.

    CADETSHIPS 2012 Discussion Thread

Typically they are online forms which have specific questions asking for examples, and have a recommended word limit. Yep they all tend to open at around the same time. I'd expect them to be open slightly earlier than the cadetship evening typically so maybe just keep an eye out on respective...

    Co-op Scholarship eligibility

You can apply as normal but no doubt if you're already in uni, they're going to ask you what happened.

    What textbooks do i need?

Google "unsw bookshop" and there should be a textbook or text lists link. Or just go here: http://www.bookshop.unsw.edu.au/textlist.html Type your subjects in and anything with "required" you need. Recommended is optional. You can buy from anywhere but just keep in mind that unsw bookshop will...

    Do you trade shares?

I guess that's just a business risk. Luckily it's essentially a secured loan whilst waiting for securities to be delivered and cash to be received so its less risky.

    Dating your tutor

It wasn't always like that. I was meant to have him as my year 8 English teacher but I had hot potato substitute teachers each week. Luckily I wasn't sitting the HSC. That being said I heard he was an epic English teacher.

    Which calculator?

I use the 82 but word of advice. Get whatever the teacher and rest of your class uses. The calculator you learn on now will serve you for a lot longer than you realise. I still use same calculator as I did in year 11 and 12 when I am at work some 7 years later. Helped me in uni when lecturers...

    economics rage

I really liked Dixon back in the day. Also a fan of the HSC Economics Model Answer series books which I think have gone out of production :( http://www.dymocks.com.au/ProductDetails/ProductDetail.aspx?R=9781876533519#.T1EfDnlsNn4

    Anyone have past papers

There are also Success One past paper books which come with really good sample answers as well as good practice paper with solutions- not sure if these are still in print though so might need to search. I found that when doing HSC that there were a lot of papers floating around but not many...

HECS Up Front Payment Deduction of 20% being cut to 10%

Subsequently when you are under the HECS debt and wondering whether to make voluntary payments or let them garnish your salary, it's also worth considering the timing of voluntary payments so that you get it in before your Notice of Assessment from the ATO comes through and forces you to make...

    Do you trade shares?

I should clarify Bell Direct requires you to deposit funds into their trust account and hence the net settlement thing doesn't really work here since they debit your account immediately, and don't pay much interest either.

    Do you trade shares?

Re: higher return than stockmarket? Sorry missed this post before but I assure you that Commsec allows T+3 settlement and net settlement if the trades occur within 1 day. This means if you close the position within a day you're sweet, but any more than that and you better ensure you have...

    What is your financial status?

Had to bump this old thread when I read it... But guys, you realise he might be intending to sell the car within the next 12 months at that point in time right? Classification of Current/Non-current is dependent on expected realisation/settlement of the asset or liability as opposed to...
