    Accord euro, thoughts.

lol I also (kindof) live in the Hills district too :) Yeh a Euro is fine in our area. It's more if you lived near city or were intending to travel to places where you need to park on the street (and it's tough to find spots) that the car might be a bit daunting.

    Accord euro, thoughts.

I've never driven a non turbo Skyline but I still think that some cars are just meant to be turbos.

    Accord euro, thoughts.

Don't buy a Skyline non turbo.

    Accord euro, thoughts.

i like the accord euro. it's aged well. maintained resale value because of it's good quality. nice interior. both stock and lightly modded it looks good. price variance will be more due to trim/equipment level than anything else. if it's ur kind of car then i'd say go for it. imo it's a bit big...

If You had a spare 20k

I really like the funkiness of the Fiesta but haven't driven it yet. Looks good. Until then, I would stick with the Mazda 2. It's more fun to drive and surprisingly stable. A lot more satisfying than the Jazz!

If You had a spare 20k

The first two are reasonable ways of excluding very old cars... but the last one is a crap criteria.... and why you would quote the DC5's highway fuel consumption rather than combined cycle or urban where it's far more likely to be used is beyond me. I'm also going to presume you're looking at...

Why Nazi-like enforcement of speed limits is stupid.

In hypothetically identical conditions yes the original poster raises a good point... but heavier cars also tend to have much better brakes and better tyres which reduce stopping distance anyway. My car weighs 1.6 tonnes but I bet it can pull up a lot quicker than most other cars which are in...

What is the fastest speed you've ever gone in a car

Meh no point bragging about speeding on the interweb.

    New Car Advice

Drive them all. I think you'll find the Lancer has a lot of poke in it and apart from the Mazda3, offers the best experience. However I'd probably put my money on the Mazda3 for it's quality feel, resale values, etc...

    What Cars does everyone drive??

I always wondered about this.. if you were saying speeding next to a car of similar make (or a common car) and a police spotted you with a radar gun from a side street, they may be reluctant to pull you over if they aren't 100% confident which car they saw speeding (especially if they look the...

    Car help

I'd say go for a Corolla. They won't look as dated (relative to newer models) IMO. Looks like it'll fit the bill and you can't go wrong because those things keep on ticking. Sounds like you care more about it working everytime you start it than looking flashy etc.

    What Cars does everyone drive??

LOL that's why I avoided buying one even though it looks damn awesome. Depends how one drives it and modifies it I suppose. To this day I've never been pulled over (not counting RBT which isn't really pulled over). Touch wood.

    Mandarin vs Japanese

I'd say Japanese is really only useful if you really want to either a) travel to Japan or b) watch anime/play japanese games (before they are translated into english)/listen to Jpop/etc... Mandarin on the other hand would be infinitely more useful in both business/career and you'll probably get...

    Decision time!

I think he means pre-approval- that is, based on the information provided subject to validation, they are happy to lend you the money. The risk of actual loss on the loan is probably low because the car is security, and then the difference could be made up in the form of upfront deposit or some...

speeding, don't know if I got caught or not

Interesting... in Singapore on the way to Changi Airport (not sure if anyone here knows the long strip I'm talking about) we were tailing a Volvo at night which got flashed and the flashes there are blinding. When I say blinding, you'd think it was daytime for a second when those flashes go off...
