speeding, don't know if I got caught or not

I was going to say yes a lot more weight would be required.... but also note there is probably no flash if it's during the daytime. At least they're probably doing under 40km/h :)

speeding, don't know if I got caught or not

Look on the plus side, the fine won't be that much. Also keep in mind if you are used to driving at 50km/h on your speedo, chances are your real speed was only about 46km/h... and then if you were just accelerating, who knows, maybe it was really only 43km/h or so in which case you're unlikely...

    Decision time!

Halfcuts are fine as long as they are known to be halfcuts. We've bought two fully rebuilt halfcut cars for racing and rewelded it together and that's fine, but I wouldn't want it on the street. It's dangerous and the reality is not everyone out there understands how halfcuts work or the safety...

    What Cars does everyone drive??

LOL I drive different cars to different parties :) (in all seriousness, if I know I'm going to be sitting in traffic, I'll take the Civic which has comfortable seats & a crawling transmission, but if it's an evening or weekend run, take the slightly faster car)

    What Cars does everyone drive??

LOL why the change? :( Fuel efficiency and reliability? I'm planning to sell my 06 Civic VTi-L purely because it doesn't get driven much... I'll wait and see.

    What Cars does everyone drive??

No matter how you twist it the Yaris is going to be miles more efficient than most other cars people own... unless you own one of the new age very efficient ones! The one thing I've noticed is my Civic is very good at getting under 10L/100km even if I drive it hard.

MyZone - New public transport ticketing

I'm impressed that private buses are on board... yay for Hills district! MyZone - Participating Private Bus Operators

    Decision time!

I'm also a bit confused.. but hey if they're letting you have the inspection and confirmed ABS is included, I'd say go for it.

    Decision time!

I don't even think you can get two half cuts stuck together in a roadworthy form (i.e. get it engineered) but don't quote me on this. As for your contract cancellation- IMO it's not the be all, end all but good luck with it. Hope you get ABS because I feel it's a very vital safety feature. It...

    Decision time!

Don't listen to him- he's merely exaggerating a point that ABS can be inferior to proper foot control under certain situations. Yes it may be more effective under rare scenarios such as if you happen to be braking hard on a road with loose gravel pieces which fly up and get stuck in the tyre...

    M4 Toll-Free from Feb 15 onwards

Agreed but at least it won't all be bulked up at Silverwater Rd anymore. As for M2... I agree. Taking the tollway in from the Hills is expensive once you factor in bridge and LCT.

    M4 Toll-Free from Feb 15 onwards

I think we'll just have to wait and see how traffic congestion changes after the toll is removed :)

    Decision time!

Very good point you raised- I remember reading about this on forums before. For NSW, the rules are a bit different and depend on other factors. To prevent misunderstanding I will simply reference the NSW Office of Fair Trading website; URL: Before you buy a car - NSW Office of Fair Trading...

    Decision time!

Fingers crossed it does have it- I mean, by all means it should, but only the seller can guarantee it. Since it sounds like you are buying from a reputable dealer, it doesn't hurt to ask now. Typically you should be able to see an amber coloured light come on in your dash marked "ABS" when...

    Animorphs or Goosebumps?

Sorry mate but disagree with you.. although it's probably me being weird. I'm the kind of guy who would stick his fingers in at each page where I had to make a decision so that I could easily go back to it after and change my mind if I hit an abrupt ending to the story. That was what annoyed...

    M4 Toll-Free from Feb 15 onwards

For those who didn't know, the M4 is being handed back to NSW State Govt to manage... whom will then make it free. Yes this increases traffic congestion but it means a more direct route for those of us travelling from Parramatta Rd onto the motorway and wish to get off at Parramatta (nearest to...

Getting your Ps - Driver Ability Road Test (DART)

Re: What do you need to bring when you go for your P's test? Not sure on the exact names anymore but they're all up on the RTA website... might be "NEW LICENCE FORM" or something along those lines. It's basically where you fill in your particulars, any disabilities you may have, whether you...

Getting your Ps - Driver Ability Road Test (DART)

Re: What do you need to bring when you go for your P's test? Don't they put up on the website exactly what ID is required before they'll print you one (if you pass)? Also suggest filling in form beforehand. Makes things easier/faster.

    Animorphs or Goosebumps?

Goosebumps did get a bit boring (in terms of repeated themes/motifs/"surprises") but it didn't stop me reading all of them until the end.. didn't like the Choose your own goosebumps though. They were crap. Animorphs felt interesting but in terms of quantity I preferred the whole 'each book is...

Getting your Ps - Driver Ability Road Test (DART)

Wait until you've driven more so you can buy something which you really connect with and appreciate (e.g. what you find 'powerful' or 'fast' now could change very rapidly as you become more experienced with driving). There will always be good and bad buys in the used car market. Don't worry...
