    car question.

Sounds like boot space is one of your key concerns, whereas performance isn't. Not sure about safety but as a new driver, I am a huge supporter of active safety (i.e. cars which have inherent good design to help avoid a crash as opposed to ability to sustain/recover from a crash). Don't forget...

    SAAB- where to now?

Does this mean every new SAAB will have aircraft, truck and now F1 technology? AWESOME :D

    HPT Hazard Perception Test

One other quick tip is always slow down the moment you see anything which could potentially be a hazard such as parked cars (could be hiding pedestrians?) or another oncoming vehicle. I can't remember if HPT has multiple taps per video or not... but the full licence one requires you to tap the...

    Speed Cameras

Fair enough. Not sure if I support that system but I do appreciate it's benefits.

    Speed Cameras

I wonder do people actually drive safer as a result in Melbourne though? Presumably everyone knows (who is local) where the fixed cameras are?

    Speed Cameras

Now that's a revenue raiser. Doesn't prevent the problem, but profits out of it.

    HPT Hazard Perception Test

AFAIK they don't care because it's not on the road. It's like watching 20 year old VHS tapes of cars moving around town centres (i.e. not the busy CBD) and then tapping the screen whenever something is meant to happen.

    Speed Cameras

Costs money rather than raises it. And that being said, why should taxpayers have to foot the bill for people who can't control themselves in areas which are known to be of higher risk/danger?

    HPT Hazard Perception Test

Drive as if your grandma was in your car and you'll be fine :)

    Speed Cameras

In all fairness the people posting in this thread are new drivers, and even I still check my speedo when I'm in an area such as a tunnel where there are speed cameras about. I agree with the OP that it is a bit trivial that by forcing people to monitor their speedo, they may decrease speeds but...

    Help with Learner's logbook/license?

Seriously if you can't figure out how to use the trip meter (or odometer) when it comes to filling in the distance on your logbook, do you really think you should be trying to fake it? Furthermore should you really be driving? ps. yes I did the real hours for my P's but it was back when it was 50.

haha it's normal. usually ppl do double major so it goes on ur degree and improves job prospects. check out the UNSW Course Handbook (handbook.unsw.edu.au i think but google it if not) as it goes into details about different program structures... some ppl do one major, some do two, some do...

    Top Gear series 14

I thought it was good. Would've been more interesting if they used modern 4WDs IMO because they've done too many old beaten up crapboxes in their challenges. One challenge which I enjoyed was the old supercars one, and the driving on a single tank of petrol to another country. I missed those...

    Women only carparks

I suppose it also depends on where you live and drive. I live and work in the CBD and have secure underground parking spots both at home and at work but they are damn narrow! This is still better than some of the improvised parking lots I have parked in whereby someone has approximately...

    Piano Tribute Conservatory

Has anyone searched this on iTunes? There are some surprisingly good piano renditions of pop songs and other famous hits... it adds a whole new depth to some of the songs (e.g. Lady Gaga!). And yes I'm aware you could have downloaded MIDI files and whatnot, but there's something about these...

    Bmw z4

LOL I hope the R35 doesn't become the next-gen poser car. That being said the harsh ride and expensive maintenance will hopefully be too much for oldies and posers to handle especially if it never sees a track.

    Bmw z4

LOL I wouldn't even mention the R8 in a sentence...! You do realise that you are driving an Aurion and whilst it's a solid car, I don't think it really reflects that well on the performance oriented vehicles coming out of Japan (haha yes I drive one). Anyway, I don't think I have much else to...

    Bmw z4

Unnecessary much? And I don't mind the new C Class. Even the lower spec models are pretty decent. Not a huge fan of the interior which feels a bit cheap with lots of greys and plastics compared to the CF trim or wood of the rivals, but performance is okay for the price (of a luxury car). This...
