    Unfair Parking Fine!

To TC, not sure if you know this but when a parking area isn't allowed be parked in (e.g. loading zones at certain times), some parking meters will inform you when you try to buy a ticket. Maybe consider using the machines if in doubt. And as for the comment about worried that someone will...

    Unfair Parking Fine!

I agree that you should go and check the area out. From the pic it looks vaguely like the area near Slip Inn bar which I wouldn't be surprised if that was a taxi rank at night time.

    Fuel Consumption

PM'd. Thankfully it's not a daily driver :) Best ever fuel economy in the turbo was 9.2L/100km with close to no throttle and smooth traffic flow along Victoria Rd. More likely than not I will be between 12L/100km and 16L/100km. If I have been feeling enthusiastic it can go upto 30L/100km...

Police abandon motorcycle speed camera plan

The radio frequency things can't be that bad- if they work on a track, surely they'll be fit for street use. *shrugs*

    I finally drove a V8...

Wow it's been like 3+ years since I made this thread.... funny how times have changed and V8s aren't in flavour anymore.

    Most ANNOYING things when Driving

exactly. In summary, I can't stand the kids who want to race you at the lights in their crapbox... truth be told, they probably use cheap 91 octane (or heck, ethanol blended) petrol. However for those who drive performance/tuned cars, we need to use 98 octane so why should we waste our petrol...

    Most ANNOYING things when Driving

I like being fully sik with my homiez in da car and da tunez pumpin loud. Seriously. But I hate those kids who always wanna race me at the lights. Just cos they use 91 octane doesn't mean we all want to waste petrol.

    FINS2624 - What the fuck

I agree with Vagabond- spreadsheets have a very practical use and if anything, I think the way that it's taught should be improved to make it more important. When you do start working, having Excel skills is sometimes taken for granted.

A car for noobs or a truly technologically advanced sedan?

Parking assist meaning it steers for you and controls the throttle... the only things the driver does is; a) Finding and selecting a parking spot which is big enough for the system to work with b) Covering the brake pedal Psh. That being said I probably wouldn't mind something like this on my...

    Hoon Laws & Our opinions.

I fail to see how anyone could possibly justify doing donuts/burnouts as being a necessity on public roads... at least speeding/weaving in and out of traffic/etc... could possibly be bs'd out of, but donuts?? It's bad enough we see P platers TRY and drift at intersections!

    Most ANNOYING things when Driving

It's downright dangerous when people do that both to get into the lane (i.e. lanes turning right, they come in on the left and suddenly surge forward when it turns green and cutting in front of those who were in the correct lane)... I mean really, what's wrong with missing a turn and making...

    Most ANNOYING things when Driving

Lately I hate bikes/cyclists who weave in and out of traffic at a red light, plonk themselves in front of you, and fail to move very quickly at all... it's like, if you were gonna ride through and in front of me then fine, you can go through and shoot when it turns green... but if you're gonna...

best small first car to get?

That's why some forced induction cars are fine and permitted (and also evidence that the blanket rule was stupid). But the reality is most P platers who want a turbo car are going for the "fully sik turboz". I know this because I was one of them but hey, if I can wait it out, I don't think it's...

best small first car to get?

Prevents noobs turning into statistics :) I know not all turbos are uber-hoon-fast-cars and some can be very safe, but the reality is that the turbos which they are trying to curb young ones from driving are dangerously quick and far beyond the capabilities of most new drivers and are likely...

    commerce (assumed and recomended)

To answer original post, I don't think maths is that important. As long as you can do the basics and know your way around a calculator, you'll figure everything out when they teach you. It's more the concepts and being able to interpret the question in such a way that you can use formulae which...
