    New Honda Civic

Sorry for ambiguity- I meant to say I'm too cheap to spend on the hinge even though it looks good with the lining. LOL and I'm not DIY. Apart from the exterior mods which were easy to do since they were either stick-on, snap-in or in some way.. required no actual drilling/hole-creating, they...

    Astra CdTi

Well if you're majorly into it... then by all means, go for it. Just don't do it for financial reasons. If you're looking for other cars to test drive... try out the Mazda3, Honda Civic, Volks Golf, Subaru Impreza, Ford Focus, etc.. they're all in that price range.

what do you do as an auditor?

That applies to most firms I'd imagine... it's like the cause of high turnover!

    Need For Speed: Carbon

Maybe 'coz it was the first NFS game to go from exotic cars to... very old crappy Porsche. Add to that the fact I don't really like Porsche and... well that's probably why. The thing which I remember most about PU/PC was that it had turn signals! The only NFS game I never played was the very...

    DDR and other dancing games

I'm not on the Extreme machine in city.. only on Supernova which doesn't really count since it's not very full. Nowadays use the name "JACE8888" (or whatever I end up putting in with JACE at the start), but before I used to use "JEFF" on 8th mix.

    DDR and other dancing games

I also play at Timezone (Castle Towers), Galaxy (George St), Timezone (Hornsby) and Timezone (Chatswood). Don't play the mat version... it's horrible. The only thing good about PS2/Stepmania versions is it teaches you to read arrows better and to get your timing right (which is half the...

what do you do as an auditor?

Basically if you work in audit, you'll get a general understanding of the whole business. It's kindof like the jack of all tracks aspect, but that's what makes auditors good at becoming CFOs/CEOs later on since they understand how things interrelate without any particular bias to a section...

    Removing vocals from music

If you're using Winamp... from memory it has some inbuilt DSP options (or it used to?) which includes a "Voice removal" which operates on that same principle I believe. It gives the music a very hallow 'echoey' feel to it. Not too sure if that'll be suitable for your music. On a side note, if...

    New Honda Civic

Definitely looks good with the lining... but I'm too cheap to spend on it. Rather use the money on something more... noticeable.

    Apple's New Calling: The iPhone

The only thing which I reckon that could hold it back is if it's all network locked and only available through select retailers in Australia.

    The hoo-hah surrounding investment banking

If it so happens that the only forum you read which I post on is 'Commerce'... what did you expect?

what do you do as an auditor?

Well it depends alot on the client but whilst the general work/principles are the same, what you'll find is that there's always something difficult about a particular client whether it be.. it's difficult to trace revenue, it's difficult to get a complete listing of transactions, etc... and then...

    The hoo-hah surrounding investment banking

It's late so I'm going to give very half assed answers. But I do want to add one thing to the whole IB vs. Accounting debate... the hours in Accounting aren't as short as some people make them out to be! Better than nothing. Cadets go to night classes. After about 6 months or so, cadets...

what do you do as an auditor?

I agree with what turtleface said in terms of what auditors do. I think apart from the obvious jobs for managers (ie. allocation of resources, billing, client retention, etc..), they also serve as ultimate decision makers and make the call as to what level of assurance is required, whether or...

    Cadetships/Traineeships- which uni?

I know some lecturers record but never bothered to listen... if I cbf to attend a lecture, I probably cbf to download and listen to it without the visual stimulus.

    Astra CdTi

Auto or manual? Probably a bit biased but the Honda Civic VTi (base model) did win small car of the year in NRMA magazine... As for diesel... I think it's probably because diesel here costs more than unleaded, and the increased cost of buying the car greatly offsets the financial benefit. I...

Diff uni diff name. Pretty much same course work based on what I've seen with my UTS mates doing Accounting.

    Astra CdTi

I've only driven normal Astra Coupe.. it's very well built but in automatic form, the 1.8L engine is very very dated and so is the drivetrain. IIRC Astra Diesel uses a more advanced transmission but I remember reading that it's not really worth buying as it's quite exp for what it is. Just as...

    New Honda Civic

So $80 to get the hinges insulated as well... Hmm... I've seen the gear for sale on sgcarstyling but never really cared for it. Still debating about the free boot lining though.

    The hoo-hah surrounding investment banking

Ahh a much more interesting thought! Well I'm sure you know the statistics... most people in Big4, audit especially, jump ship after CA. Why? Because with the audit knowledge and the CA-qualification, you start off alot higher than you would if you had tried working your way up from Graduate...
