Deloitte to merge with Horwath Sydney

In my experience, Deloitte had a really open and friendly culture. Did a short stint back in 03 in ERS. Can't really say much else because at that age, I thought everyone seemed very friendly and approachable. As for cadetships- they used to offer them until around 2002 I think? I remember...

Deloitte to merge with Horwath Sydney

LOL I was talking to my friend from Horwath and we discussed the exact same point- pretty special being a cadet at Deloitte since they haven't offered cadetships for quite a few years now. Anyhow, congrats :) Do you guys know what division you will be placed in under the new structure? ...

    2 quick questions!

Didn't you contradict yourself there? If the palette is the set of colours (available in the image), then that is the answer to the question. Bit depth, like you said is the number of bits used per pixel, but this is NOT the same as the number of colours. This is definitely a...

    Jolin's Concert: Oct 13th

Didn't even know about it TBH- but probably couldn't be bothered to wait around that long for it. What time did you get to see her? Scan us the autograph!

    Jolin's Concert: Oct 13th

The concert cheered me up :) I enjoyed it. It's so nice to see it in person... Whilst she missed out on a few songs from Dancing Diva, I liked it how she did some of the good classics (Shuo Ai Ni, Jui Shi Ai, Dao Dai, etc..) Her dancing is good too. At first I thought her outfit at the...

    2 quick questions!

Hmm... I was thinking Palette because it's like a range of colours available, and that bit depth is USED to calculate the number of colours available, but isn't the actual number. That's my thinking at least. EDIT: http://www.bergen.org/AAST/ComputerAnimation/Graph_BitDepth.html To...

    anyone interested in management accounting

Haha no you aren't in that category. The "anti-audit" group is largely comprised of people who think Big4 audit is only for people who couldn't make it into anything else (ie they are only doing it because they didn't get any other opportunities). :)

    2 quick questions!

I think it's just a technicality/wording issue which forces people to think a bit more before answering the question. I personally never used the word palette in IPT.

what options do i have if i get a UAI between 70-80?

Look at it this way, if you're already in the uni you want to be at, then it'll be alot easier later on to transfer between courses. What kind of job are you looking for anyway 2006hsc? On a sidenote, congrats on having a very "original" BoS name!

lol forget about ASIC, go NSW treasury

I think no matter what the govt. bodies offer to grads, in the long run, private sector (whether it be in a firm or a company) will always end up paying more. ... that being said, what are the workhours like for the govt.? :)

    CA achiever program

LOL what about when you're meeting clients for the first time? Since it's summer, I only wear the jacket to/from work and when going out, but inside the audit room it's no-tie (top button) and definitely no jacket. If you're coming in with Vaccies, don't worry, we don't expect you to know...

    CA achiever program

Not sure on the answers regarding CA Achiever but... It's bloody hot! If you get a breathable suit, it's not too bad. At least after the first day, you can probably relax a little if it's really hot (eg. undo top button/no tie, no need to wear jacket indoors, etc...). If what you guys is...

    Help! Data flow diagram symbols?

If you have the textbook, it's in there. It should be in both your year11 and year12 textbooks somewhere in the beginning. I'd help you more but I can't really remember much either. I only remembered the important ones- process, decisions, printout, external data, and worked with those.

summarise whole syllabus in 7 days?!?!

My best tip would be to do past papers, and where you don't know the answer, don't look in the answers of the past paper but rather, read through the text book and find the answer that way. Then once you've done a few past papers, go back and do them again without referring to the text book...

    Revise in a moth question!

Yep it's the difference between bits and bytes. I personally prefer to work in kilobits because it seems more natural to me (ie. multiply by 8 and then divide by 56) but really it comes down to personal preference. maskd's method would probably be preferable if you didn't have a calculator on...

    Accounting vs Investment Banking

If it was just to us on the street then sure that can be brushed off, but not when this is a forum which many high schoolers visit who have questions but no answers beyond what is on the corporate websites. I guess what you said is right about the 'thinking' side of things- so kudos to...
