    Extension Two Word Limit Loopholes?

Email the Board of Studies, specifically Don Carter, who is in charge of all the English marking for the HSC. Another tricky thing to consider is that with the critical response, the word limit is inclusive of the reflection statement, whereas with short stories this is not the case... adds to...

    Journal Process

The journal is for you to just keep track of the process. Stick in all of your research as well as document any changes our thoughts, which as said above, is good for the Reflection Statement. I use for both, mostly for research, because i'd lose it otherwise

    How fast do you write?

The most i have done is 19 pages in 90 minutes, so if you know your stuff you can do 10 pages in 45 minutes. My handwriting is not huge nor tiny, just average.

How many units do you do? Anyone do 14+?

Everyone knows what they can handle. I'm doing 11 units, because I hated Legal Studies and picked up extension 2. Three people I know were doing 13 units; one of them now does 11 because their other subjects were being sacrificed. Some people do 10 and ace 10 units. Everyone's different.

    Workshop at Wenona this sunday.

^ I know! I thought they were going to be very strict with checking tickets. I went to the critical response workshops and it was very helpful, but some of it was very obvious. With the reflection statement, we did miss out on some really good examples. Overall, a good day :)

Year 11 marks count towards year 12 and hsc?

Try in year 11 although it may not count directly towards your ATAR or HSC results- it allows you to establish a routine and allows you to work out organisation and study methods. If you're interested in scholarships, many institutions take Prelim results and reports into account, so that is...

Who here bludged throughout their entire holidays?

I've done so much reading and research for English it's ridiculous. I've still had fun and worked, but have been productive aswell. Will take it up a level these next three days to make sure I'm very prepared to go back.

Incorporating a Play into my short stories

I think you'd have a problem in categorising the work, as when you submit it you have to say what medium- the playwriting conventions are considerably different to that of short stories. I guess you could do it if you did it really really well, but you'd have to back it up so much in your...

Who thinks Standard Packages' responses are a bit illegible?

as another generalisation but generally the people who write fast are the people who have a lot to say which a lot of the time results in messy handwriting
