    ex hsc students pls answerrrrrrr

If you are realistic with your goals and have worked consistently through the year then you should be able to accurately guess your bands for your subjects. Personally i knew i would get Band 6 in Business, PDHPE and General and would definitely get a band 5 in English. For chemistry it was...

    Hsc vs trials

Generally people find HSC easier as you have more time to prepare for the exams and have the prior knowledge of what you've done wrong and where to improve from trials. Additionally a lot of people on this website come from highly academic schools which have difficult trial papers which in...

    ATAR bonus points

Yup if you reach the cut off mark then you will be sent an offer. Most acceptances for universities ( apart from USYD) is a numbers game, if they have left over spots in the course they let people who didnt reach the atar in, so don't stress out if you just fall short, you might get an offer...

Places to study near Hills Area, sydney

Hahaah castle hill 'library' is louder than the shopping center, maybe try the quiet study area within the library?

Chose subjects i hate and am now failing everything

Don't worry too much about the scaling of standard maths, you can smash it in the HSC and get really good marks from it. ( it was my highest scaled mark in my HSC) Personally I did PDHPE and Bio in yr 12 and ended up dropping BIO as it has much more content which is much more difficult than...

    Desperate for a PHYS TUTOR!

hahaah if you're going to plug your own tutoring company surely you could've come up with a better name than that

Including English in every ATAR is unfair to students with other strengths

I also agree with you guys on this one, I believe either english and maths should be compulsory or neither of them should be. Although I enjoyed learning about the concepts and themes covered in english the exams are ridiculous. Writing 4 essays and memorising them (like most people do) defeats...

    Is my atar saveable

This literally doesn't help at all. What is your predicted atar? What is your ideal atar? What is your school ranking? What is 'doing well', 'pretty good', 'okay' ?

Highest vs. lowest scaling extension subject?

I would advise against picking subjects purely on their scaling. If you believe you are equally talented and ( more importantly) motivated in one of the subjects then go for it. Otherwise i'd advise against just picking high scaling subjects based off of the scaling as you will probably enjoy...

What makes Ruse different from other schools?

    Diet Advice

Eating complex carbs like whole meal bread or oats will keep you full for longer and give you lasting energy, add fruit and its a great combo

Is it hard to get over 80 with my subjects?

Look at my atar, anything is possible
  14. R

    Are my subjects low-scaling?

Look at the subjects i did, anything is possible

    Hard work vs. natural talent

To get 90+ you either need natural talent or hard work, to get 97-98+ it takes a lot of both

Where is this lecture located at?

Yeah dude E block main lecture hall

    Subject help

I wouldn't recommend dropping to standard like others have said it scales awfully, additionally the text's are "easier" which just limits you and your essays as there are less techniques and talking points etc.

    Studying?

Getting some fresh air by going on a walk acts as a nice break, i would also recommend doing intense study for shorter periods of time and taking regular breaks rather than interrupted study for a longer period of time to be more efficient and on task.

    Dr Du vs Talent100 2018

Big corp tutoring companies aren't the only answer, i know there are a lot of ex year 12 students looking to tutor and i feel like the 1 on 1 and personalized nature of the sessions might be more beneficial, this combined with the fact that rates are not too high and you can pick and choose a...

Is tutoring necessary for 95+ ATAR

Personally i did not get tutoring just because i knew how and what to study for exams, similarly another friend of mine also went without tutoring and received 98.95. However i do know of some people being tutored and being overwhelmed by the amount of work (from tutor) and subsequently under...
