Enough for the law of large numbers to kick into effect.

Wow, somebody who actually named the correct mathematical theory instead of a lay person's approximation ('the law of averages').

sounds interesting. looks like obama should have this in the bag.
He does indeed. Again, the only thing that will change this election is an 'October Surprise', and that October Surprise can only be one of two things: a war, or another terror attack.

I wouldn't put either one past George Bush and the GOP. Read the Downing Street Memo.

or there is truly no hope for the US...
I totally fucking agree. I was watching videos of Palin on YouTube, and she sounds just as dumb or even dumber than George Bush himself. God help the world economy if Palin is elected.

Now, you may notice that I never mentioned McCain once, the reason being the old cunt will die very soon after he takes office: IF he takes office. I seriously consider Palin to be the presidential candidate, rather than old man McCain.

If McCain/Palin wins this election, I honestly expect you'll see a civil revolt in America.

? On balance she's been very good for his campaign. He was getting almost no coverage before her. The MEDIA forced the Palin parade onto us - the need for novelty is unquenchable!
We dont want a good gubbament, we want a ruddy circus show

No. Palin is a laughing stock. She has polarised people against McCain. Sure, she increased enthusiasm in the Republican base, but in doing so show showed independents the bad side of the GOP and turned them away.

And please stop eating GOP conspiracy theories. If you think Katie Couric's Palin interview was a left-wing conspiracy, there's no hope. Couric is one of the easiest, least harsh journalists out there - she certainly wasn't going out of her way to make Palin look bad. Palin did that herself.

Getting quite sick of the braindead neocons and neolibs blaming their own shittiness on 'liberal media bias'.

America is one of the most polarized countries on earth. Independents dont matter like they do here. President Bush's campaign found this out in 2000, where a mild, centerist platform appealing to moderates lost the popular vote by about half a mill. 2004 was a totally different strategy from both parties - the aim was to fire up those who are already on your side to get out and vote.
So hang the moderates. In America, everybody has an opinion and they love to talk about it. That is why Palin is so important; she is there to convince the right-leaning majority that the ticket is 'change', in touch/pragmatic, and able to articulate how Obama embodies every liberal thing they hate. Like every good VP, she's a pitbull stirring up hatred and fear, while McCain offers reassurance and strength. 5 weeks out, it's still anyone's race because people are far more motivated by hate than love.
It is beautiful. None of the mealy-mouthed, spineless drizzle we're subjected to.

hah that reminds me

Dear Red States...

We've decided we're leaving. We intend to form our own country, and
we're taking the other Blue States with us.

In case you aren't aware, that includes Hawaii, Oregon,Washington,
Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, Illinois and all the Northeast. We
believe this split will be beneficial to the nation, and especially
to the people of the new country of New California.

To sum up briefly: You get Texas, Oklahoma and all the slave states.
We get stem cell research and the best beaches. We get Elliot
Spitzer. You get Ken Lay.

We get the Statue of Liberty. You get Dollywood.
We get Intel and Microsoft. You get WorldCom.
We get Harvard. You get Ole' Miss.
We get 85 percent of America's venture capital and entrepreneurs. You
get Alabama.
We get two-thirds of the tax revenue, you get to make the red states
pay their fair share.

Since our aggregate divorce rate is 22 percent lower than the
Christian Coalition's, we get a bunch of happy families. You get a
bunch of single moms.

Please be aware that Nuevo California will be pro-choice and
anti-war, and we're going to want all our citizens back from Iraq at
once. If you need people to fight, ask your evangelicals. They have
kids they're apparently willing to send to their deaths for no
purpose, and they don't care if you don't show pictures of their
children's caskets coming home. We do wish you success in Iraq, and
hope that the WMDs turn up, but we're not willing to spend our
resources in Bush's Quagmire.

With the Blue States in hand, we will have firm control of 80 percent
of the country's fresh water, more than 90 percent of the pineapple
and lettuce, 92 percent of the nation's fresh fruit, 95 percent of
America's quality wines (you can serve French wines at state dinners)
90 percent of all cheese, 90 percent of the high tech industry, most
of the U.S. low-sulfur coal, all living redwoods, sequoias and
condors, all the Ivy and Seven Sister schools, plus Harvard, Yale,
Stanford, Cal Tech and MIT.

With the Red States, on the other hand, you will have to cope with 88
percent of all obese Americans (and their projected health care
costs), 92 percent of all U.S. mosquitoes, nearly 100 percent of the
tornadoes, 90 percent of the hurricanes, 99 percent of all Southern
Baptists, virtually 100 percent of all televangelists, Rush Limbaugh,
Bob Jones University, Clemson and the University of Georgia.

We get Hollywood and Yosemite, thank you.

Additionally, 38 percent of those in the Red states believe Jonah was
actually swallowed by a whale, 62 percent believe life is sacred
unless we're discussing the death penalty or gun laws, 44 percent say
that evolution is only a theory, 53 percent that Saddam was involved
in 9/11 and 61 percent of you crazy b*****ds believe you are people
with higher morals then we lefties.

By the way, we're taking the good pot, too. You can have that dirt
weed they grow in Mexico.

Peace out,
Blue States

Good evening and welcome to the Second Presidential Debate for election 2008. I'm your host, Iron Thatcher, and I will be monitoring the discussion with various squeals, gasps, and potential ejaculatory material.
You will find the exits here and here.
As you know, this is the town hall style debate, so we encourage member's to participate live in the discussion as it happens.
SO, can McCain halt the momentum? Can Obama land a KO punch? Will an audience member make a protest that is spun as a terrorist attack than Obama failed to act on?
Only father time will tell, and he's shaking a tit - I mean taking a shit. Will be back in 10
